If you look back on 2025, it was nothing short of an incredible year for Buffalo Traffic Jam. The Montana duo made several festival debuts; shared stages with artists like Dylan Gossett, Allen Stone, and Banker Blankenship; and reached 2M monthly listeners across streaming platforms. Some of these listeners might have heard about Buffalo Traffic Jam through Holler Country’s 20 New Artists of 2026, HITS Daily Double’s New and Developing, or in Amazon Music’s Best of 2025: Folk, where the band was highly praised and supported. After gaining momentum with their EP Take Me Home, which featured favorites like “Comfort in Misery” and “Fool’s Gold,” Buffalo Traffic Jam set their sights for 2026. This year will feature a sold-out debut headline tour in the U.S. and Europe, a slot at Bonnaroo festival, and more music—like their new single “I Don’t Care.”
On “I Don’t Care,” Buffalo Traffic Jam is caught between healing and hurt. The single contains strong yet eerie strumming, setting a vulnerable and dark mood. Meanwhile, we get lines like, “I finally found peace / When you’re not around / When will someone show me love? / God, it kills me / I wasn’t enough,” taking us through the conflicting emotions that follow a break. The process of moving on is never linear, but it offers the insight needed to continue forward.
Telling us more about “I Don’t Care,” the duo explain,
“‘I Don’t Care’ captures the moment that follows loss—when you realize what you were holding onto was never what you needed. The song details the process of turning a new leaf, leaving the past in the rearview, and refusing to look back.”
