Broncos bold predictions for huge Week 15 clash against Packers

Blues’ Brayden Schenn rips ‘soft’ performance in 7-2 loss to Predators
It was another blowout loss for the St. Louis Blues, this time, falling 7-2 to the Nashville Predators at Bridgestone Arena. Following the Blues’ loss, Brayden Schenn ripped his team’s performance, according to Blues’ beat writer Lou Korac. “Soft … soft in front of our own net, soft in front of their net. Give good players time and space to score goals ot second chances, leaving Binner hanging out to try on some, that’s how we keep giving up as many goals as we are right now,” Schenn told Korac. Things started out slow for both teams until 8:22 into the first period when Steven Stamkos got the first goal for the Preds. It would be the beginning of a miserable night for Jordan Binnington, as he allowed Stamkos to score another just three minutes later. Ultimately, the Blues cut the deficit in half early in the second on a goal by Hugh McGing. But that would be as close as they got. Ryan O’Reilly tallied a goal to make it 3-1. Then Filip Forsberg made it 4-1 before Stamkos added yet another just 23 seconds later to make it 5-1 while also completing a hat trick. Robert Thomas offered a glimmer of hope with a goal just under two minutes later. However, the deficit would be too much to overcome as Stamkos made sure of that with yet another goal. The Blues won 52 percent of their faceoffs but could not do much with the puck. Additionally, they went 0 for 3 on the power play and were not able to convert most of their opportunities. It was their third game without Jordan Kyrou, who sustained a lower-body injury against the Ottawa Senators and is week-to-week. The Blues will have a quick turnaround after this blowout loss, returning home to face Connor Bedard and the Chicago Blackhawks on Friday. After Binnington started on Thursday, the Blues may turn to Joel Hofer, who entered the game in the third period after Binnington was pulled. Warriors’ Draymond Green out vs. Timberwolves for birth of child
The Golden State Warriors will be facing the Minnesota Timberwolves, and they will be without their best defender. It won’t be because of an injury, which is good news, as Draymond Green will be looking to welcome his newborn with his wife. Green hinted at the possibility of missing some games about a week ago, after he was asked about the occasion. “It sucks. Pretty s****y if I’m being honest,” Green said. “But nonetheless, this is my job. I love to do my job. But it’s terrible if I’m being honest,” Green said. “It’s not the first time I’ve been in this position, though. But my wife does a great job. She’s strong. I’ll do all I can to get back here if I need to.” It’s understandable why Green will be missing some time, but it’s uncertain how much time he will miss. Luka Doncic was the latest NBA player who missed time as he and his wife welcomed their second daughter. Green will truly be missed, as he sets the tone for the Warriors, and against a team like the Timberwolves, he will be needed. These two teams have a history with each other, most recently last postseason, as they faced off in the second round. The Timberwolves won that matchup, as Stephen Curry was out for most of the series with a hamstring injury. It was Julius Randle who made things difficult for the Warriors in that series, and Green was the main defender on him. Though it’s just a regular-season game, the Warriors are going to have to throw multiple bodies at him if they want to contain him. At the same time, they still have to worry about Anthony Edwards, who can get hot at any moment. Luckily for the Warriors, they’ll be getting a boost on offense as Stephen Curry is set to return from injury. Kings rookie issues brutally honest message to reporters after Nuggets game
The Sacramento Kings’ season continues to unravel, with losses piling up and urgency rising across locker room searching for answers. Maxime Raynaud stood at his locker after the Kings’ blowout loss to the Denver Nuggets and chose composure over frustration. With the dismal result adding pressure to a slipping season, the rookie met reporters head-on. In a video shared by ABC10 Sports’ Matt George, Raynaud spoke calmly, even as the weight of another lopsided night hung over the room. Maxime Raynaud had some feedback tonight for the Sacramento media. pic.twitter.com/vvIQWsIMPT — Matt George (@MattGeorgeSAC) December 12, 2025 When asked what was going wrong, Raynaud redirected the conversation. “Honestly guys, I don’t think it’s my role to tell you what of questions you ask but I don’t think after a loss it’s a good thing to just pinpoint wrong things and say that the locker room is not going well,” he said. The Kings rookie didn’t stop there. “They know how to face tough times like that.” For a second-round pick still learning the league, it was a striking display of maturity. Maxime Raynaud backed it up with production, even if the margin swallowed it. The 42nd overall pick by the Kings scored 15 points on 7-of-13 shooting and grabbed nine rebounds. He stayed active. He stayed aggressive. Still, the numbers told a harder truth. His minus-26 plus-minus reflected how quickly the game tilted once the Nuggets seized control. A tough lesson for the Kings against the Nuggets Doug Christie said the Kings’ energy simply wasn’t there. Denver made that clear early. The Nuggets controlled pace from the opening tip, with Nikola Jokic directing everything on his way to 36 points and 12 rebounds in a 136–105 win. Sacramento never found rhythm. The Kings shot 45 percent from the field and just 29 percent from three, fell behind in rebounding and ball movement, and watched every starter finish with a negative plus-minus. Only Precious Achiuwa and Devon Carter escaped it, and the push came too late. Now 6–19, the Kings are leaning on rookie Maxime Raynaud’s composure as losses stack and urgency begins to define the season — but can that calm turn into the spark they need before it’s too late? Tulane football clapping back at Florida with offensive coordinator hire
Florida shook up the college football coaching carousel by hiring Tulane’s Jon Sumrall as its next head coach. The Green Wave have since responded by poaching offensive coordinator Russ Callaway. Tulane has already hired Will Hall as its next head coach and is now closing in on a deal to make Callaway his first offensive coordinator, On3 Sports’ Pete Nakos reported. Once official, Callaway will likely become the first official member of Hall’s inaugural staff. Reports of Tulane’s interest in Callaway come one day after Sumrall officially hired Buster Faulkner to be his offensive coordinator at Florida. Faulkner has spent the last three seasons as offensive coordinator at Georgia Tech. Callaway has been with Florida since 2022, but the 2025 season was his first as offensive coordinator. He began as a defensive intern before assuming the tight ends coaching position in 2023. Callaway became the Gators’ co-offensive coordinator in 2024 and gained sole possession of the job in 2025. Although Florida went just 12-13 in Callaway’s two years as offensive coordinator and co-offensive coordinator, the 37-year-old is often credited with most of the team’s success. Callaway played a key role in the Gators’ late-season turnaround in 2024, which included upset wins over No. 21 LSU and No. 9 Ole Miss. Before his promotion at Florida, Callaway last held an offensive coordinator position with Samford in 2008. There, he led the Bulldogs to lead the FCS in passing yards and post the fifth-most total offense, with over 500 yards per game. As Tulane’s former offensive coordinator, Hall will likely have a significant influence on the offense. The program hired Hall in an attempt to maintain its current momentum gained under previous head coaches Willie Fritz and Sumrall. Capitals’ Alex Ovechkin joins Sidney Crosby in ultra-elite club
Washington Capitals star Alex Ovechkin continues to rewrite the record books in the National Hockey League — and The Great Eight reached a rare milestone in a 3-2 shootout loss to the Carolina Hurricanes on Thursday night. The 40-year-old, who recorded an assist on Connor McMichael’s opening goal, became just the second active player to record 1,800 points in the regular-season and playoffs combined, per NHL Public Relations. He’s the 11th player to reach the milestone; the only other active player with more is Sidney Crosby, who ranks seventh on the all-time combined points list. Ovechkin and Crosby will go down as two of the greatest players of all time, and it’s incredible watching the pair play at this level, still, in 2025-26. That being said, Ovechkin probably would have preferred if the achievement had come in winning fashion. The Capitals led the Hurricanes on two different occasions before eventually losing in a shootout. Washington opened up a 1-0 lead on McMichael’s tally five minutes into the second period, and took a 2-1 lead midway through the final frame when Nic Dowd beat Canes goalie Brandon Bussi. But Logan Stankoven tied things up with just over two minutes remaining in regulation. Nothing was doing in the extra frame, so it took until a SO to decide a winner. The Caps are 0-4 in the minigame this season. Capitals concede Metropolitan Division lead to Hurricanes Both teams secured a point in the contest, but with the Hurricanes getting the extra one, the divisional rivals are now tied at the top of the Metropolitan with 40 points apiece. Considering Carolina has a game in hand, they own the slimmest of leads heading into the weekend. The two powerhouses are likely to battle for the top of both the division and Eastern Conference throughout the season. For Ovechkin and the Capitals, it’s a disappointing result, but it’s still been an excellent stretch for the team. Washington has won seven of 10 games, and the squad hasn’t lost in regulation since November 22 — that’s a nine-game point streak. Star goaltender Logan Thompson has been a huge reason for the success, and he was excellent again on Thursday, making 37 saves on 39 shots. “We were right there grinding it out all game,” Thompson said afterwards, per NHL.com’s Harvey Valentine. “Just unfortunately couldn’t get two points tonight, but we’ll take the point and move on.” Now 18-9-4 and fourth in NHL standings — behind only the Hurricanes, Dallas Stars and Colorado Avalanche — the Capitals will look to get back in the win column over a short two-game road trip. Washington will travel to Winnipeg to play the struggling Jets on Saturday before facing the Minnesota Wild in the State of Hockey on Tuesday.
