He can do what most modders do, release the mod for free and accept donations. Instead he acts like a corpo, and he got called out in it and did the corpo. At the end of the day he isn't doing this for the community, for the experience, for the love of the game, for any of that, he's doing it for money, pure and simple. CDPR allows free mods and even let's their modders accept donations, what they don't want is people using their art and their game to get people stuck in a monthly microtransaction.
