In reply to Stoudt Cliff. Yes, he has. Even when an old grumpy angry man like me criticized his almost every move. He had us in the mix of the playoffs, year in and year out. Without him, there would have Never been one of my most exciting eras in Steelers history. The Killer era was phenomenal. The ups and downs, the frowns, tears (Patriots and Jags playoff games) smiles, joy and every other emotion in between. I wish you well Mike.

There was a good writeup in The Athletic approximately one year ago after the loss to Baltimore in the playoffs. It splits Tomlin's career into two periods; 2007-2017 and 2017-2025. The contrast is stark and Dan Rooney's passing in '17 was the beginning of it all. In hindsight, Tomlin's tenure as Steelers HC should have ended after 10 years and it would have been an amazing career for him.
