Weather alert for snow in Covington County until Sunday morning
A report from the National Weather Service was issued on Sunday at 5:44 a.m. for snow until 10 a.m. for Covington County."Light to moderate snow is currently occurring over Santa Rosa County and Okaloosa County in Florida, as well as Covington County, Alabama. Temperatures have dropped to around freezing and some light accumulation is now being reported over grassy and elevated surfaces. Over the next one to two hours, as snow continues to fall, minor impacts may become possible as bridges and roadways may become slick in spots. With temperatures expected to rebound well above freezing by the late morning hours, impacts, if any, should be rather brief. Please take it slow if you are driving this morning," explains the weather service.
