Comment on ‘They Expect It To Get Worse’: Former NFL DB Believes Steelers Don’t Expect To Improve Without Tomlin by Anthony
In reply to HardPunkKore. Since 2021: - 7 different starting quarterbacks (two over 40, five are backups). - Rated in the bottom third of total passing offense each season (except Ben's last year because he's Ben). - Don't have numbers but we know this OL has been bottom third for years and finally showed some improvement this year. - Bottom five WR room, and still no wide receiver room which doesn't help less talented QBs. - Defenses that have been top heavy with talent but less balanced, and s*** the bed plenty of times. Highest paid? Sheesh. Does anyone else think we've overachieved since Ben retired? I think a lot of the more-than-casual fans would sort of agree it wouldn't have been a surprise if the team had 6 wins, or 9/10 like we did.

Comment on Report: Steelers ‘Expected’ To Speak With Mike McCarthy About Head Coaching Vacancy by Anthony
In reply to John. Our team still seems so unidentifiable from a standpoint of the future. Especially on offense. Sometimes it seems teams might take a random chance with a head coach for a year and if there's nothing promising just fire them if it's going to be a "lost" year. Lost can have multiple meanings there. Look at the Patriots with Mayo. The Raiders with Pete. We aren't in as bad a situation as those teams but did anyone truly think either of those teams those years had any chance? Not one bit. I guess what I'm comparing it to is the same as a stopgap or bridge QB. Point being, this is the only way I see McCarthy getting a chance. I'd prefer Shula or either of the Kubiak brothers.
