Update (12:50 p.m.): Penn State has reportedly scheduled FCS Maine in Delaware’s place. Penn State and Delaware will no longer meet in the 2027 non-conference slate in 2027. The game had been scheduled for week two, with the Blue Hens set to visit Beaver Stadium. The Nittany Lions have not immediately filled the opening, and will be looking for a new week two opponent. Meanwhile, Delaware is now set to visit Illinois in week two instead. Penn State currently has home games with Syracuse and Temple scheduled in 2027. Matt Campbell’s first season with the Nittany Lions in 2026 will include non-conference games against Marshall and Buffalo, with a trip to Temple in week two. The specific details of the Big Ten schedule are expected to be released on Tuesday.
