After a seven-hour questioning by the SIT in the alleged phone-tapping case, BRS working president KT Rama Rao accused the Congress government of running a diversionary, leak-driven investigation to distract the public from governance failures and unfulfilled promises.

Karimnagar MLA Gangula Kamalakar has warned of launching a padayatra from Rekurthy to the State Secretariat in Hyderabad if the government does not remove Rekurthy lands from the prohibited list under Section 22(A). Kamalakar said he and the affected landowners would intensify their agitation with a padayatra to the Secretariat.

Telangana Assembly Speaker G Prasad Kumar has issued a legal notice to former BRS MLA Methuku Anand, demanding an unconditional apology and withdrawal of alleged defamatory remarks. The Speaker also sought Rs 10 crore in compensation, warning of civil and criminal proceedings if the demands are not met within seven days.

Students of the English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU) in Hyderabad have strongly criticised the administration’s decision to conduct student union elections for 2025-26 without a student-led commission. The outgoing union argued that the move violates the Lyngdoh Committee guidelines and the university’s own constitution, which mandate student representation in the election commission.
