On Monday, David Beckham told CNBC his kids have “made mistakes” on social media. “I have been silent for years and made every effort to keep these matters private,” Brooklyn Beckham began the six-part story, before noting that his parents have left him with “no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth about only some of the lies that have been printed.” “I do not want to reconcile with my family,” Brooklyn Beckham continued. “I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life.” He went on to say that his parents’ previous social media posts about their family have been performative and that within the family, relationships are “inauthentic.” The eldest Beckham child added that his celebrity parents have pushed “countless lies in the media… to preserve their own facade,” later accusing them of turning his brothers against him. The lengthy posts are the latest development in the long-standing family feud that has gnawed away at the Beckhams’ attempts to project a perfect family life. In April 2022, reports in the British media suggested that Nicola Peltz — whom Brooklyn Beckham married in 2022 — had refused to wear one of Victoria Beckham’s designs for her wedding dress. Peltz later denied this, telling British newspaper The Times that Victoria’s atelier could not make it in time. Brooklyn Beckham’s Instagram post, however, gave a different version of events amid his claims that his parents have been “trying endlessly to ruin” his relationship with Peltz. In the post, heclaimed Victoria Beckham was set to make Peltz’s wedding dress, but backed out “in the eleventh hour.” Around the same time, he said, his parents pressured him into signing away the rights to his name before he was wed. The president spent most of his opening remarks showing off mugshots of undocumented immigrants his administration has arrested while denigrating immigrants from Somalia. “Somalia is not even a country,” he said. “They don’t have anything that resembles a country. And if it is a country, it’s considered just about the worst in the world.” Trump claimed that the individuals were all “criminal illegal aliens that, in many cases, they’re murderers, they’re drug lords, drug dealers.” But an analysis of immigration arrests by The Associated Press shows the vast majority have no criminal records or only low-level offenses. While speaking about ICE operations in Minnesota Trump said that people who work for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement are “going to make mistakes sometimes.” “They’re going to make mistakes sometimes,” Trump said. “ICE is going to be too rough with somebody, or, you know, they’re dealing with rough people, they’re going to make a mistake. Sometimes it can happen. We feel terribly,” he said. The Hartford Board of Education will now allow schools to give honorary diplomas to the families of deceased students. The decision comes after the family of Anitress Terry requested she receive an honorary diploma. Terry was a senior at Weaver High School in 1972 when she was struck and killed by a windblown plank that fell from a construction site at the school. The board will revise its graduation requirements policy at a meeting on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. The meeting will be held at Weaver High School, according to a news release. Terry’s family will accept her honorary diploma on her behalf at the meeting.

Police are investigating a smash and grab at a jewelry store in Bristol. It happened at Kay Jewelers on Farmington Avenue on Monday evening, according to police. Two masked suspects entered the store and used a hammer to break open a display case, police said. They snatched jewelry from the cases and quickly left the store. The value of the jewelry was still being determined, according to police. A similar smash and grab happened at the Connecticut Post Mall over the weekend. It’s not clear if police think the two incidents might be related.
