Why I’m hopeful the ChromeOS/Android merger will finally bring browser profiles to Chromebooks

When I use the MacBook that we have around for video editing, I live and die by browser profiles. I have one for my personal life with all my personal bookmarks, credit cards, and history. I have another for Chrome Unboxed with our work-related bookmarks, the business credit card, and specific extensions. All told, I […]

The amazing Lenovo Chromebook Plus 14 just got its first-ever discount

It’s not often that I get excited about a $30 discount. But when it’s the first-ever price drop on the device I’ve confidently called “the best Chromebook ever made,” I think it is worth sitting up and taking notice. That’s right, the Lenovo Chromebook Plus 14 is finally on sale. At least a little bit. […]

The 4-2-5 Report: Ole Miss Handles Business Against the Citadel 49-0

You just knew when you saw Ole Miss favored by 50+ points that there was such a slim chance they would cover that. First two weeks of the season when you are trying to figure things out? Hell yeah. But 10th game of the season, relatively healthy with the College Football Playoff firmly in sight? Nah, let’s put ‘em away at half and let the back ups get some reps. That’s exactly what the first unit on both sides of the ball did. Trinidad Chambliss looked crisp while Kewan Lacy racked up touchdowns and the defense dominated. The easy Saturday in Oxford leads us to the four best plays, two best players and five interesting stats from the game. 4 Plays of the Game The Kewan Lacy show 👀#HottyToddy pic.twitter.com/sc1J5iyRMq— Ole Miss Football (@OleMissFB) November 8, 2025 Nothing special about the run itself, but this score by Kewan Lacy gave him his 16th rushing touchdown on the season in just 10 games. That tied him with Quinshon Judkins for most rushing touchdowns in a season, with two to go in just the regular season. He might break 20 y’all. LUCKY 1⃣7⃣ 🤞@winstonwatkins_ x #HottyToddy pic.twitter.com/ylLrcY4UUy— Ole Miss Football (@OleMissFB) November 8, 2025 If you forced me to find something negative to say about Trinidad Chambliss this year, it would be the number of deflected passes. Sure he can’t help that he’s little but so is Kyler Murray (a player comp) and he figured out how to avoid a high number of those. But sometimes its better to be lucky than good? Well I believe when luck meets preparation then you have an enhanced ability to take advantage of the opportunity. Winnie Watkins was in the right place at the right time and gave the Rebs a 21-0 lead in the first quarter. Scamperin' in 🏃‍♂️💨Back-to-back touchdown's for Kewan Lacy! pic.twitter.com/T0f7mSfSe0— Ole Miss Football (@OleMissFB) November 8, 2025 Now this run actually is impressive. It’s like you could have an entire highlight reel of Kewan Lacy breaking off long runs on inside zones. His ability to hit a gap, make a dude (or more) miss and then leave everyone in the dust is ELITE. ON THE ATTACK 😤@hoodiiewill x #HottyToddy pic.twitter.com/8Isvn0D0tx— Ole Miss Football (@OleMissFB) November 8, 2025 It’s plays like these that remind me why I only lasted two years playing football. Talk about terrifying. Princewill Umanmielen is rounding into form down the stretch of the season and the timing couldn’t be any better. Who knows what disaster Florida rolls out at QB but we will need plays like this in the Egg Bowl on Black Friday. 2 Players of the Game I mean who else other than Kewan Lacy right? Three first half touchdowns brought him into a tie with Judkins for most in a season at Ole Miss. I wish Kiffin would have force fed him the fourth but who am I to tell the master troll what to do? He only had 11 carries for 51 yards to go along with his three touchdowns, but he walked away healthy so we will take it. The last time we played an non-SEC opponent, Chambliss looked pretty meh. Not this time. All the senior Heisman candidate did was go 29-33, 333 yards and three touchdowns of his own. He was efficient and effective. All you can ask of your leader and he delivered. 5 Interesting Stats This is the best start to a season for Ole Miss since the undefeated 1962 team. Neither me nor my parents were alive to see that. The Ole Miss offense under Lane Kiffin now has ten more games (29) of 600+ yards than the rest of program history. Trinidad Chambliss is now 694 yards away from being just the 10th Ole Miss QB to pass for 3,000 yards in a season, which would knock Bo Wallace out of 10th place. Kewan Lacy is now 88 yards from the 10th 1,000 yard rushing season in Ole Miss history, which would knock Cory Philpot out of 10th place. If Lacy just meets his per game average of 91.2 over the three guaranteed remaining games, he will end up third in single season rushing history at Ole Miss.

Opening odds: Ole Miss is a two touchdown favorite over struggling Florida

You damn number crunchers in Las Vegas are trying to take Ole Miss fans out right now. FanDuel Sportsbook opened its odds with Ole Miss -13.5 on Sunday, and it immediately got bet up to -15.5 as money flooded in for the Rebels (9-1, 5-1 SEC) over the Florida Gators (3-6, 2-4 SEC). The Rebels are 6-4 this season against the spread while the Gators are 3-6, which probably led to 86 percent of the bets being on Ole…

Taking time to respect a ball play

Leading South Carolina 10-7 with about 7 minutes to play in the 2nd quarter, Ole Miss was in position to go up two scores and put even more stress on a bad Gamecocks offense. On 1st and 10 at the South Carolina 14, with Ole Miss going tempo, Kewan Lacy lost a yard to make it 2nd and 11 on the hashmark nearest the Ole Miss sideline (aka, the boundary). This will be important in a second. Lane Kiffin and Charlie Weis…

An introduction to The Citadel

With Ole Miss on the cusp of making the college football playoff for the first time, what better way to relax than a noon kickoff against a 4-5 SoCon team that will probably be winning 3-0 at the end of the first quarter. We would love for Ole Miss to flatten the Bulldogs from the jump, but it’s understandable if a lack of energy and focus plague the Rebels early, as the game is sandwiched between two massive SEC games. While a repeat of the Washington State game isn’t likely, it would be super chill if things were wrapped up at halftime. Saturday’s game will be the second meeting between Ole Miss and The Citadel, with the first taking place in the opening year of the Ed Orgeron era in 2005. If you forgot, and how dare you, Ole Miss won 27-7 for Orgeron’s second win as head coach. He would win only 8 more times over the next 30 games. The box score from that game is an elite collection of Let’s Remember Some Guys. Micheal Spurlock (20/29, 254 yards, 1 TD) Mico McSwain (20 carries for 122 yards) Antonio Turner (11 carries for 31 yards, 1 TD) Mario Hill (3 catches, 51 yards) Larry Kendrick (5 catches, 48 yards) Mike Espy (4 catches, 41 yards, 1 TD) Taye Biddle, Keith Houston (!!!), Jamal Pittman, Robert Hough, Chris Bowers, Michael Bozeman, Garry Pack, Viciente DeLoach (!!!), Robert Bass, and so on and so on. For the record, Patrick Willis had 14 tackles that day because of course he did. Of note, the 27 points Ole Miss scored were the most they scored that season. As I documented years ago, they averaged 13.5 points per game FOR THE YEAR and 12.1 in SEC games. But we’re not here to recall the relentless agony of the Ed Orgeron era, we’re here to learn about The Citadel. You may recall we conducted a similar exercise the week of the Washington State game. Location The Citadel is in scenic Charleston, South Carolina, which is the most populous city in the state. You may remember Charleston from a trip there, spending a summer in college there, or pictures from the time your friends spend a summer in college there. Charleston is also home to Red Cup alum Jim Lohmar, who, in my opinion, wrote one of the most painful and best things that ever showed up on this here webbed site. History of The Citadel Founded in 1842, The Citadel is one of six public senior military colleges in the United States. The other five include Norwich University in Vermont, Texas A&M, University of North Georgia, Virginia Military Institute, and Virginia Tech. The state legislature initially founded The Citadel as two schools — the Arsenal Academy in Columbia and the Citadel Academy in Charleston. Cadets from the Citadel Academy fired some of the first pre-Civil War shots at a ship attempting to resupply Fort Sumter in January of 1861. The whole two separate schools thing came to an end in 1865 when William Tecumseh Sherman rolled into Columbia and burned the Arsenal Academy. Is it possible the state legislature was like, yo, operating two of the same school is too expensive, so what if we committed insurance fraud and burned one and blamed it on Sherman? Who’s to say? But no, Sherman burned it. And probably took a super long drag on a cigar as he watched the flames engulf almost everything. And he probably cackled. Oddly enough, the current South Carolina governor’s mansion was the only building on campus that didn’t burn. In 1910, the name of the non-burned school was officially changed to The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina. Rapid Fire Citadel Trivia Only about half the student body of around 3700 is involved in the South Carolina Corps of Cadets, meaning there are students who attend the school and are just like COLLEGE Sherman’s troops occupied the Citadel Academy in 1865, and the school ceased operations and didn’t re-open until 1882 In 1995, Shannon Faulkner was the first woman to enroll in the Corps of Cadets (via a ruling from a federal judge) In 1999, Nancy Mace, the current very calm and non-wound up representative from South…

Ole Miss ranks sixth in CFP, here are the updated odds for the Rebels

The College Football Playoff selection committee has revealed its first edition of rankings, and Ole Miss landed at number six overall decidedly in the precious top 12 for now. The No. 6 Rebels (8-1, 5-1 SEC) have a weekend tilt against The Citadel, a home game against Florida next week and a season finale in Starkville for the Egg Bowl left. All of the analytics are pointing toward Ole Miss having a better than most chance at making the playoff for its first time, but if the season ended today, it would be a home game in Oxford against the No. 14 Virginia Cavaliers (8-1, 5-0 ACC). FanDuel Sportsbook Our very good friends over at FanDuel Sportsbook have updated odds on the Ole Miss Rebels and its chances to make the CFP. Currently, the Rebels are -1200 to make the top 12 while it is a +680 to NOT make the CFP. May the odds be forever in Lane Kiffin’s favor imo. Now UVA is ranked outside the top 12, but the Cavaliers are the de facto ACC Champion in this projected bracket. Winning the first game in Oxford would be a possible SEC showdown against No. 3 Texas A&M. Here’s how the top 12 seeds (not rankings) shook out. No. 1 Ohio State No. 2 Indiana No. 3 Texas A&M No. 4 Alabama No. 5 Georgia No. 6 Ole Miss No. 7 BYU No. 8 Texas Tech No. 9 Oregon No. 10 Notre Dame No. 11 Virginia No. 12 Memphis Good gravy and biscuits, the last team I want to see in this bracket anywhere close to playing Ole Miss is the Memphis Tigers. That is one of those programs who just seem to give the Rebels its best effort historically, and it would just be a miserable week leading up or potentially after if you live anywhere in the Memphis metro area. Now some of these rankings are going to change, no doubt about it. Conference championship games could loom enormous for the top four seeds if they make it that far. Ole Miss is in a great spot in terms of win and you’re in, but its not likely to be in the cards to play for a conference championship without some significant help. Three games to go. 1-0 every week. All the cliches at this point but the Rebels are in very serious contention now for a playoff home game leading up to the week of Christmas.

Rebels in the Pros: The Debut of Walter Nolen III

I mean we knew that right? It kind of reminds me of guards that played for John Calipari at Kentucky. They were talented recruits, had pretty good college careers but then exploded when they got to the NBA. It makes you wonder how we laid an egg against Kentucky and Florida with a talent like his. Anyways, it’s Tuesday so that means it is time to run through the NFL games from the weekend to see how our former Rebels did. Jaxson Dart perfect throw DROPPED pic.twitter.com/W9iuoAlCYM— NFL Draft Files (@NFL_DF) November 2, 2025 An absolute dime dropped by Darius Slayton as the defender made contact. Dart put this ball in the perfect spot, just a shame he has no help around him. He finished the game with 191 yards passing and two touchdowns while leading the Giants in rushing with eight carries for 56 yards and another score. Jordan Watkins brought in his lone target for 19 yards for San Francisco. Benito Jones checked in this week with two tackles and a sack for the Miami Dolphins. Tre’ Harris hauled in both of his targets for 18 yards against the Tennessee Titans. DK Metcalf was shut down by the Colts secondary, catching just two balls for six yards. Malik Heath also caught his lone target for 11 yards for the Packers. Dalton Knox and Elijah Moore each caught one ball for the Buffalo Bills, 30 and 28 yards respectively. Trey Amos was in on seven tackles for the Commanders, four solo. Awesome debut by Walter Nolen last night. Looks like the real deal pic.twitter.com/XPOMcK4Pj6— Billy M (@BillyM_91) November 4, 2025 Walter Nolen III made his NFL debut in a LOUD way in an upset win against the Dallas Cowboys on Monday Night Football. The rookie finished with a sack, two tackles for a loss and a pass deflection. Not the greatest week overall for former Rebels, but more and more are headed to the league to have an impact every year!

The 4-2-5 Report: Ole Miss stifles South Carolina

The best Sunday tradition is writing this article because it’s another victorious weekend for the Rebels. Sure, after the inexplicable losses last season with the most talented roster in program history, I was admittedly nervous for this one. But oh ye of little faith, Ole Miss dominated another opponent on the stat sheet even if the scoreboard wasn’t indicative of that. I wonder if Shane Beamer will watch the film…

Ole Miss runs through South Carolina, 30-14

An early South Carolina touchdown didn’t phase Lane Kiffin and Ole Miss as it leaned on its defense and star running back Kewan Lacy to a 30-14 win on Saturday. Ole Miss (8-1, 5-1 SEC) has been finding different ways to win this season with Saturday being no exception. The Rebels defense recorded a season high six sacks while only allowing 230 total offensive yards. The first quarter touchdown by South Carolina…

How to watch No. 7 Ole Miss vs. South Carolina: Kickoff time, TV schedule and streaming

Long time Ole Miss fans have to know this is one of those kind of games that has haunted and plagued the Rebel football program in the past. It’s not because it’s against South Carolina (3-5, 1-5 SEC) or any kind of rivalry with the Gamecocks that dates back decades. The history on this series is much shorter and is less painful than most others despite a Thursday night debacle more than fifteen years ago in…
