The Tarrant Area Food Bank will host a holiday food distribution on Tuesday, Dec. 16, at Globe Life Field in Arlington. TAFB, along with the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation, Coca-Cola, and the Kate & Sonny Dykes Foundation, will host a large-scale holiday mobile food distribution to provide meals for 3,000 families. The food distribution event is supported by the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation and Coca-Cola, who have teamed up to donate to the Tarrant Area Food Bank during a check presentation ceremony just before the distribution on Tuesday. The Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation and Coca-Cola will make a joint donation of $20,000, and the Kate & Sonny Dykes Foundation will provide $10,000, equaling 120,000 meals for families facing hunger across TAFB’s 13-county service area. The event is open to all while supplies remain. No identification or documentation is required to receive food assistance. All residents are welcome, including those impacted by the federal shutdown or SNAP pause, according to TAFB. The event will take place at Globe Life Field, Parking Lot R, 734 Stadium Drive in Arlington on Tuesday, Dec. 16. The distribution will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. while supplies last, with the check presentation starting prior to that at 9:45 a.m. More information about the Tarrant Area Food Bank can be found online.
