Game notes After a so-so trip out west, the Bruins return to TD Garden for a five-game homestand, starting with tonight’s date with Calgary. The Flames played in Montreal on Wednesday night, a 4-1 loss. Needless to say, the Bruins should be a bit more rested than their guests tonight. These two teams played a little more than a week ago, a 2-1 OT win for Calgary that many of you fine commenters considered one of the worst hockey games in recent memory. Here’s to hoping, for all of our sake, that tonight is more entertaining. That game was sandwiched between two other wins for Calgary, which came during a decent stretch that saw them win five of six games and reignite hopes of a wild card push. Since then, they’ve lost three in a row and find themselves six points out of a playoff spot (and with five teams ahead of them). While the Bruins need to stop shooting themselves in the collective foot with all of the penalties, they’ll be facing the league’s worst power play tonight (14.2%), so…hopefully it won’t be as bad as Tuesday in Seattle, when the B’s allowed three PPGs. Dustin Wolf started Wednesday’s game for Calgary, meaning we’ll likely see Devin Cooley tonight. No real roster news from a Bruins perspective, as things are pretty much the same from Tuesday night in Seattle. I’m guessing Joonas Korpisalo will start. See ya tonight!
