Flyers to have four players at the Olympics in February
With Dan Vladar making Team Czechia, the Flyers will have four players at the Olympics next month in Italy. Rodrigo Abols had already been named to Team Latvia, which also announced its roster Tuesday. Some other rosters were released last week. Travis Sanheim will play for Team Canada and Rasmus Ristolainen for Team Finland. From Feb. 6-24, the Flyers will go 19 days without a game because of the NHL’s participation in the 2026 Winter Olympic Games. Vladar, an offseason signing by the Flyers, has become the club’s No. 1 in net. The 28-year-old is 15-6-3 with a 2.39 goals-against average and .910 save percentage. The 15 wins are a career high. If the Bruins make the playoffs this year it will be because Swayman dragged them there. I didn’t like the holdout a couple years ago and I think he learned his lesson. It’s hard to play in the nhl with no training camp. The hate he gets along with Mcavoy from the fan base is hard to understand. Ok he’s not Big Z and he’s not Ray but those guys were special players are we holding everyone to that standard cause if so then no one belongs on the team. When team USA names chuckie in there original 6 for the Olympics there’s gotta be a reason for that. He’s elite defensively when he’s engaged and playing smart hockey and he’s physical. The offense will never be there cause he’s got what I calls miss the net idis lol but to suggest trading him with no one to replace him shows the delusion in the fan base is getting out of hand.
