Winter weather advisory affecting Alabama Saturday and Sunday
The National Weather Service released a winter weather advisory at 11:18 a.m. on Thursday valid from Saturday 6 a.m. until Sunday 6 p.m. for Marion, Lamar, Fayette, Winston and Walker counties.The weather service states, "Mixed precipitation expected. Snow and sleet accumulations up to one inch and ice accumulations up to one quarter inch."

Bishop State Community College in Mobile has evacuated its campus due to a threatening email, according to a notice on the school’s social media.“Out of an abundance of caution, Bishop State transitioned to virtual learning and sent students, faculty, and staff home after receiving a threatening email,” reads a Facebook post from this morning.
