A man was arrested following a fatal shooting of another man in Huntington Beach over the weekend.  According to the Huntington Beach Police Department, officers responded to the call of shots fired at a home on the 4500 block of Scenario Drive around 11:30 p.m. on Sunday.  When they arrived, officers found a man with gunshot wounds. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment but later succumbed to his injuries.  The victim’s name has not been released pending the notification of next of kin.  Detectives with the department’s Major Crimes Unit also responded to the scene along with the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.  Authorities were able to locate Robert Emery, 48, of Huntington Beach and arrested him on suspicion of murder.  Detectives believed the shooting to be an isolated incident and said there is no threat to the public.  The investigation is ongoing.

The 33-year-old has not started a single game in La Liga or the UEFA Champions League, making only one appearance in the Copa del Rey so far this season. To remain in contention for a World Cup spot, ter Stegen needs regular playing time, which he will not get if he remains at Barcelona with his current salary. The move to Girona also keeps him near his family, which likely influenced the choice of destination. Now, if he performs there, Julian Nagelsmann will likely call him up to be the German #1 at the World Cup. Ter Stegen has waited his entire life to start an international tournament for Germany.
