Last night’s game, kicking off the first leg of their first three-in-three of the season, was a big one for the Phantoms, as they were able to overcome a bit of a dicey start on the way to taking down the visiting Springfield Thunderbirds by a score of 7-3, and extending their winning streak to a season high five games. It was a sound effort across the board, as each of their forward lines was able to contribute at least one goal on the night, but the most notable performance of the night came in the three goals set up by the team’s top line of Alex Bump, Lane Pederson, and Denver Barkey. This goal would ultimately hold as the game winner, but this line was far from done yet. 🐕🐕#LVvsSPR | #LVPhantoms pic.twitter.com/olxzALWCFa— Lehigh Valley Phantoms (@LVPhantoms) November 15, 2025 They were able to double up on their contributions, but this time through Bump stepping into the setup role, dropping down below the goal line to retrieve a puck and make a quick pass to Pederson inside the left circle, who then, despite being in a pretty prime shooting spot himself, took the beat to scan and then thread a pass across to the even more wide open Barkey, who knocked it home. Alex Bump with some great work to set up a pretty wacky second goal of the night for Denver Barkey (this line is really buzzing!) pic.twitter.com/xCirSjFMT4— Madeline Campbell (@madelinecampbll) November 15, 2025 Their final goal felt a little bit like adding insult to injury for the Thunderbirds, as it saw Bump able to skate with the puck virtually end-to-end (with a bit of a break in the neutral zone for a quick back and forth passing with Pederson to relieve a bit of pressure), just cruising through traffic and then threading a pass back to the trailing Barkey, who whiffed on the shot but still had the puck bounce off of his skate and in. It certainly wasn’t how they would have drawn that play up, but there’s something to be said for making your own luck, and when a line is as hot as this one has been, that’s the kind of bounces that will be going their way. This was the type of collective flashy performances which will have certainly turned heads, but it’s one that also felt like it has been building up for a little while now. “I think they’re all starting to gel together,” head coach John Snowden said back after last weekend’s game. “You know, [Pederson]’s a calming voice, he understands the ebbs and flows of the game, he’s played in the NHL, he’s been in the American League for a long time. And [Barkey]’s just, he’s a hockey player. He’s just a hockey player. He competes on pucks, he understands space, and uses his leverage in battles. Like you see tonight, how many battles did he come out with the puck because he just understands how to get out of it. [Bump]’s really good at extending plays, he’s good at getting that sneaky shot off in areas, and it gets on goalies pretty quick and heavy because it doesn’t look like it’s coming off his stick quick and hard, and then it creates a secondary chance. And they’re really starting to understand how they need to play together and understanding each other’s tendencies, and if you start to understand each other’s tendencies and where they want to go and want pucks in certain spaces, good things start to happen like we saw in that one shift they put together and ended up getting rewarded.” This line found a very nice bit of production last night, and it would be easy to point to it as a result of having three highly skilled players stacked on one line and feasting on matchups against a weaker opponent, but it would be unfair, in turn,…

Friday night treated us to a whole lot of Philadelphia Flyers prospects proving their worth in their respectable leagues all over the world. But one that popped out as a single performance, was Jett Luchanko making sure everyone was reminded about what he can do and how he can just take over a game in the OHL. Much has been written about Luchanko and his situation. He’s played in the NHL probably earlier than he should have and the expectation was raised but the freshly-turned 19-year-old center did not have his game tuned enough to be something more than a fourth-line center to start this season for the Flyers. So, the Flyers sent Luchanko back to the OHL’s Guelph Storm and the top prospect is back playing on a not-so-good junior team with not a whole lot of offensive support. Luchanko delivers impressive 4-point performance vs. Windsor But that hasn’t stopped the London, Ontario native from producing at a high level in the OHL. On Friday night, in an 8-5 drumming of the Windsor Spitfires for the Storm, Luchanko scored a goal and earned three assists for a four-point night that demonstrated exactly what he needs to do in his final year of junior eligibility. And on one of his assists, Luchanko put all his high-end attributes to good use to create something that only really the best junior players are capable of doing. While on the power play, Luchanko took a pass while in motion through the neutral zone, swiftly entered the offensive zone and put every single Windsor penalty killer on their heels, giving defenders just milliseconds to react and try to play against a player who is already behind you. And with that speed, he easily drew a whole lot of attention to then give his teammate a wide-open net to score on. Luchanko with a NASTY assist tonight. The Flyers 2024 first-round pick can just race past players and be the first to the puck, and make use of it. Even on his goal it’s there. In a shorthanded effort, Luchanko beats a Windsor skater to the puck after Guelph won possession back in their own end and then managed to score on a quasi breakaway. Since he returned back to Guelph, he’s been doing exactly what is needed and that’s tuning his offensive game to an amount that can be somewhat translatable to the NHL. While playing with the Flyers, Luchanko seemed to just try to keep his head above water and not make many mistakes, so fans were largely disappointed seeing their first-round pick and top prospect just make the easy plays and even occasionally lose possession in a bad area of the ice; so those moments stuck out like a sore thumb. But in the OHL, Luchanko is bringing his top-end speed and playmaking ability to turn out defensive schemes and prove to be one of the most impactful players in that league. Ubisoft has tapped into its vault of iconic IPs and is turning its legendary Assassin’s Creed franchise into a new Netflix live-action TV series. It’s a wonderful time for video game adaptations and the ever-growing race of video game adaptations continues to, well, grow, as major publishers are looking for new ways to expand their universes outside of consoles. To give you a rough idea, Nintendo’s The Legend of Zelda movie, Sony’s God of War TV series and Xbox’s Gears of War are just a handful of names that currently are in various stages of development, as industry is betting big on cinematic storytelling. Netflix’s upcoming Assassin’s Creed TV series hopes to do the same, drawing on Ubisoft’s extensive lore and espionage to come up a gripping new live-action saga. The streaming giant has brought in Emmy nominees Roberto Patino and David Wiener as creators, showrunners, and executive producers for what is being billed as a “high-octane thriller.” So, if you’re curious about when Netflix’s Assassin’s Creed live-action series will release or who’s going to be in the cast, here’s everything we know so far about Netflix’s Assassin’s Creed TV series. Netflix’s Assassin’s Creed TV Series: Release Date You may have to wait a while to get your Assassin’s Creed fix as Netflix still hasn’t locked in an official release date for the upcoming live-action TV series. The project was first revealed in late 2020, when Ubisoft and Netflix announced their partnership to develop “an epic, genre-bending live-action adaptation” that would take inspiration from the franchise’s “trove of dynamic stories with global mass appeal.” Netflix’s Assassin’s Creed TV Series: Cast Just like the release date, there’s also no information about the cast for the Assassin’s Creed TV series. As the show is still in the early stages of development, no formal casting announcements have been made. What Will Netflix’s Assassin’s Creed TV Series Be About While nothing’s confirmed, the Assassin’s Creed TV series will most likely tell an original story and could pull from its vast lore. However, it is still a big mystery which era of the franchise the upcoming TV series plans to explore and which member of the Assassin lineage it will follow. Not counting the spin-offs, there have been 14 mainline Assassin’s Creed titles so far, and the franchise has moved through a wide mix of time periods. With that kind of variety, the upcoming series has plenty of possible directions and source material to build on. Thankfully, Margaret Boykin, executive producer and head of content at Ubisoft Film & Television, did (vaguely) shed some light on what story Netflix’s Assassin’s Creed TV series could tell, revealing that the series will introduce “unforgettable worlds and timeless themes to new audiences worldwide.” A few interesting bits of info about what to expect from the upcoming show also come via the show’s official logline, which reads, “Assassin’s Creed is a high-octane thriller centered on the secret war between two shadowy factions — one set on determining mankind’s future through control and manipulation, while the other fights to preserve free will. The series follows its characters across pivotal historical events as they battle to shape humanity’s destiny.” Those familiar with the games will know that these two factions, of course, are the Assassins and the Templars. Even showrunners Roberto Patino and David Wiener opened up about the overall direction of the series and the themes they want to explore. “We’ve been fans of Assassin’s Creed since its release in 2007.
