In reply to Drexyl Spivey. Oh FFS with the "Steelers went 8-8." Perhaps Ben going face-first into a windshield then having an appendectomy were a small part of that??? Tomlin went 5-2 in the playoffs because he had Ben in his prime, as well as Harrison, Polamalu, Farrior, McFadden, Parker, Holmes, Ward, Miller, Smith, Kiesel, Taylor and Clark. What big contributor did Tomlin bring? Maybe Woodley and Timmons?

In reply to Canadastan. That’s a choice. I’m just speaking in general. IMO the Steelers job is the most stable if that’s what you’re looking for…and I would be. Having a MVP QB didn’t save a few coaches this year.

Hiring McCarthy as HC seems like an AR2 decision. Give it five seasons and if doesn’t work, fire McCarthy and hand the team over to Rooney’s son. One last hoorah for AR2.

To me Allar, who struggled in college, is a bigger risk than Beck who was successful in college. Beck has a higher floor and lower ceiling than Allar. Howard to me is big strong QB with some mobility. Have to see him play games before any real discussion on what he potentially can become. Allar with all his issue does have a big time arm. If he is there at 2 after the WR, I consider him, Simpson just hasn't played enough games and very few QB's coming out have success with that few games.
