LSU football rumors: Tigers sending two planes for Lane Kiffin on Sunday
LSU football is not exactly being subtle about its crush on Lane Kiffin. According to Yahoo Sports’ Ross Dellenger, LSU executives and Kiffin’s representatives held a call after the Tigers’ 17-13 loss at Oklahoma on Saturday to keep hammering out details of a deal, including travel. The university is sending two planes to Oxford on Sunday for Kiffin, his family, and others, a pretty loud signal about where this coaching search is headed. On the field, the LSU Tigers did not exactly make a final sales pitch with style points. LSU managed just 198 total yards against the Oklahoma Sooners and went 2 of 14 on third down, wasting a strong defensive effort in Norman. Freshman quarterback Michael Van Buren Jr. threw for 96 yards and rushed for 33 as LSU finished the regular season 7-5 and 3-5 in SEC play. Oklahoma outgained the Tigers 393-198 behind 318 passing yards and two touchdowns from John Mateer via the ESPN Box Score. Lane Kiffin, meanwhile, just closed out an 11-1 regular season with the Ole Miss Rebels. Ole Miss hammered the Mississippi State Bulldogs 38-19 in the Egg Bowl behind 318 passing yards and four touchdowns from quarterback Trinidad Chambliss and 143 rushing yards from running back Kewan Lacy. The Rebels rolled up 545 yards, didn’t turn the ball over, and stayed firmly in the College Football Playoff hunt. That résumé is exactly why LSU has chased Kiffin this hard. Multiple reports have described LSU’s offer as a massive deal in the seven-year, $90–100 million range, one that would put Kiffin among the highest-paid coaches in the sport. School officials reportedly feel “very confident” he will ultimately accept. Nothing is official yet, and Kiffin still has to decide how he wants to handle a potential move with Ole Miss staring at a postseason run. But when a school sends not one, but two planes into your town, it usually means the courtship is entering the final stage. Vanderbilt QB Diego Pavia drops blunt Heisman take after Tennessee takedown
On Saturday, the Vanderbilt Commodores completed a landmark season with a 45-24 victory versus the No. 18 Tennessee Volunteers at Neyland Stadium, completing the program’s first-ever 10-win season. It was also the program’s first victory against Tennessee since 2018 and the first under head coach Clark Lea. Vanderbilt, now 10-2 overall and 6-2 in SEC play, was clearly the better team, outgaining the Volunteers 506 to 302 yards and outscoring them 24-3 in the second half. The Commodores’ senior quarterback and Heisman Trophy contender, Diego Pavia, overcame an early erratic start to lead the team. He completed 18 of 28 passes for 268 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions, both of which resulted in Tennessee scores in the first half. On the ground, Pavia ran for 165 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries. For the season, Pavia has thrown for 3,192 yards with 27 touchdowns against 18 interceptions, while rushing for 826 yards and nine touchdowns. Speaking to ESPN following the win, Pavia made it clear he wanted a trip to the Big Apple. “Take me to New York,” he said. “I feel like you go look at the numbers, you look at what we got here, and obviously, we did something that’s never been done. But it’s just a blessing, man, to be here on this stage, something I’ve dreamed about since I was a kid.” "Take me to New York."@VandyFootball's Diego Pavia letting it be known he wants to be a Heisman finalist pic.twitter.com/MSbiAg6cSM — SEC Network (@SECNetwork) November 30, 2025 No Vanderbilt player has ever won the Heisman, but Pavia’s combination of passing, rushing, and historic team success makes him a serious contender, even if odds-on favorite Fernando Mendoza of the Indiana Hoosiers remains the front-runner. Vanderbilt’s rushing attack, led by Pavia, totaled 314 yards on the Volunteers’ defense at an impressive 8.5 yards per carry. Running back Sedrick Alexander rushed for 115 yards and three touchdowns, while Tre Richardson caught six catches for 75 yards and a score. Tennessee quarterback Joey Aguilar passed for 299 yards and a touchdown, and DeSean Bishop accounted for 97 rushing yards and two scores for the Volunteers. The game featured multiple lead changes early on. Tennessee scored first after a Pavia interception, but the Commodores answered with a six-play, 75-yard drive that ended with a 28-yard touchdown run by Alexander. The Volunteers regained the lead momentarily, but Pavia tied the game at 21 with a 6-yard touchdown pass to Jalen McMurray with 12 seconds remaining in the first half. Vanderbilt commanded the field in the second half, with Pavia rushing 24 yards for a touchdown and Alexander adding a 39-yard score to ensure the win. Last-minute Fantasy Football streaming options for NFL Week 13: Kicker
Streaming kickers isn’t glamorous. It wins fantasy football matchups, though. This is especially true in Week 13, when playoff hopes hang by a thread. No teams aare on bye and injuries are thinning out reliable options. As such, managers are again turning to the waiver wire searching for accuracy, opportunity, and favorable matchups. The good news? Several kickers enter Week 13 with ideal situations. They have high-volume offenses, domed or warm-weather environments, and defenses that allow meaningful scoring chances. These last-minute kicker streamers are strong bets to deliver. Ahead of Week 13 of the 2025 NFL Season, it’s time to see which Kickers are among the last-minute fantasy football streaming options. Chase McLaughlin, TB (@ ARI) © Steven Bisig-Imagn Images Chase McLaughlin’s Week 12 usage was basically nonexistent. Although it was no fault of his own. Tampa Bay fell behind early in its 34-7 loss to the Rams. That forced the offense into desperation mode and eliminated typical field-goal attempts. McLaughlin’s only contribution was a made extra point. Don’t let that fool you, though. He remains one of the most accurate and dependable kickers available for streaming. McLaughlin is 20-for-24 on field goals this season and 21-for-22 on PATs. That shows steady efficiency even when game flow turns against him. Week 13 offers a much more favorable setup. The Buccaneers face an Arizona defense that frequently stalls opponents in scoring territory. The Cardinals have allowed one of the highest rates of field-goal attempts in the league. With that, McLaughlin should see multiple opportunities. If you’re looking for a solid floor with 8–12 point upside, he’s one of the safest waiver-wire plays this week. Cam Little, JAX (@ TEN) Few kickers in football are hotter heading into Week 13 than Cam Little. Jacksonville’s kicker is coming off an impressive performance in Week 12. He hit two 52-yard field goals and finished the afternoon perfect on all kicks. Little’s recent stretch has been remarkable. Over his last four games since the Jaguars’ Week 8 bye, he has gone 8-for-8 on field goals, while hitting all 13 extra points. His efficiency and long-range ability give him one of the highest ceilings among widely available kickers. The Week 13 matchup against Tennessee sweetens the deal. The Titans struggle to keep opponents out of scoring range. Their defense frequently forces stalled drives rather than touchdowns. That’s prime territory for kickers. Little is the premium streaming option of the week. Wil Lutz, DEN (@ WAS) If you want a reliable veteran with enormous recent production, look no further than Wil Lutz. His Week 11 showing against Kansas City showed why he continues to be trusted in high-pressure moments. Lutz has made 17 of 20 field goals and all 24 PATs this season. He leads the league with four game-winning kicks. The Broncos offense has been streaky, but that inconsistency often benefits Lutz. He has been leaned on heavily in scoring territory. The Week 13 opponent, Washington, gives him plenty of upside. The Commanders bend but don’t always break. That allows frequent field-goal attempts while tightening up in the red zone. Lutz offers a stable floor and one of the highest ceilings among all streamer candidates. Jason Myers, SEA (vs. MIN) Yes, other kicker options provide solid streaming appeal. That said, Jason Myers delivers the best combination of volume, consistency, and matchup advantage heading into Week 13. Myers continues to be a critical part of Seattle’s offense. He went 3-for-3 on field goals and 3-for-3 on PATs last week against Tennessee. He has made at least three field goals in three straight games and sits at 11-for-12 since the Seahawks’ Week 8 bye. Seattle matches up against a Minnesota defense that has allowed multiple field-goal attempts in most of its games this season. The Seahawks have moved the ball well recently but frequently settle for three points instead of six. That makes Myers a…

Albany State beats Benedict College for the third time, continues championship chase
Albany State University continues its quest for a Division II National Championship after defeating Benedict College for the third time this year, winning a tight 14-12 contest in the second round of the NCAA Division II playoffs. It is always difficult to beat the same team three times in a season, and Benedict came out with a defensive fervor that challenged the Golden Rams unlike ever before, as the 14-12 final score was the second-lowest offensive output for Albany State all season. While Albany State still moved the ball effectively, it struggled to find the end zone consistently against the Tigers’ relentless pressure. Quarterback Isaiah Knowles delivered another strong performance, throwing for 244 yards and one touchdown on 19-of-29 passing, but he was sacked a total of six times. The Tigers were determined to get after him and prevent him from picking apart the defense. The Tigers’ strategy of disrupting the prolific Albany State offense was effective, but their inability to generate offense proved fatal. Neither quarterback, Jackson Jensen nor Darius Ocean, was able to muster an effective passing attack. Jensen finished the game with just 39 yards on six-of-12 attempts, and Ocean managed only seven yards on two-of-15 attempts. Benedict’s offensive engine was solely the running game, led by David Smith, who finished with 74 yards and one touchdown. Benedict scored their only touchdown after Smith pulled off a nine-yard run late in the fourth quarter, concluding a 10-play, 70-yard drive. However, they failed to connect on the crucial two-point conversion attempt, which ultimately spelled the end of their national championship hopes. Albany State regained possession with just under four minutes left and successfully dominated the time of possession to run out the clock and secure the narrow victory. Albany State, the top seed in Super Region Two, now continues its run, setting up an intriguing matchup against an insurgent Newberry team next Saturday in the regional final. How Mark Cuban influenced Anthony Edwards’ free throw form change
Mark Cuban might not be anywhere near the free-throw line, but he is living rent-free in Anthony Edwards’ routine right now. Minnesota Timberwolves star Edwards admitted this week that he changed his form at the stripe after Mark Cuban called him out for repeatedly stepping over the line on his free throws. Cuban went on the “Road Trippin’” podcast in September and said Edwards “steps over the line every single time,” even claiming he talked to the league about it. That critique went viral, and Anthony Edwards felt it. In an interview shared by Andrew Dukowitz, he said, “Some famous guy went on Instagram or went on a podcast and was talking about my free throws, and he brought it to the attention of everybody, so I had to change it.” Anthony Edwards on eliminating the step on his free throw (spoiler it’s Mark Cuban’s fault) “Some famous guy went on Instagram or went on a podcast and was talking about my free throws and he brought it to the attention of everybody so I had to change it” On changing a free… pic.twitter.com/tJzRlKzI17 — Andrew Dukowitz (@adukeMN) November 30, 2025 He called changing his mechanics midcareer “hard,” but added that with how often he lives in the gym, he does not think it should be an excuse. Now he says he tries to shoot around 200 free throws a day. Anthony Edwards has eliminated the little step that used to carry him over the line as the ball was in the air, a movement Cuban argued should be whistled as a lane violation. Now Edwards is more upright and still at the stripe, focusing on rhythm instead of drifting forward. So far, the numbers say the adjustment is doing just fine. In Saturday’s 119-115 win over the Boston Celtics, Anthony Edwards went 10-for-11 at the line while dropping 39 points on 12-of-24 shooting, including 5-of-11 from 3-point range via the ESPN Box Score. The Minnesota Timberwolves finished 16-for-20 as a team, an 80% night in a game decided in the final minute.
