Bills rumors: Tom Pelissero outlines obstacles for Mike Tomlin hiring in Buffalo

After another gut-wrenching playoff loss, the Buffalo Bills fired Sean McDermott. Buffalo was tremendously successful in McDermott’s nine-year run as head coach. The Bills made the playoffs eight times and won five division titles. However, the team wasn’t able to reach its ultimate goal of a Super Bowl championship. Now the Bills are on the hunt for a new head coach. And Mike Tomlin is unattached to a team for the…

All signs pointing to Eric Bieniemy-Chiefs reunion, per reports

As rumors swirl that the Kansas City Chiefs could soon lose offensive coordinator Matt Nagy to the Tennessee Titans, Andy Reid has reportedly tabbed his successor in the form of a regular blast from the past. Taking to social media to inform fans of the team that “all signs are pointing towards,” NFL Network reporter Tom Pelissero shared that the Chiefs are in contact with ex-offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy to return to his former role after spending time with the Washington Commanders, UCLA Bruins, and Chicago Bears. “Reunion: All signs are pointing towards Eric Bieniemy returning to the Chiefs as their offensive coordinator, sources say,” Pelissero wrote. “With Matt Nagy out of contract and in the head coaching mix, Kansas City plans to bring back Bieniemy, a valued member of Andy Reid’s staff from 2013-22.” Initially playing for Reid as a running back all the way back in 1999 with the Philadelphia Eagles, Bieniemy reunited with his former coach in 2013, serving as a running backs coach from 2013-17 before being elevated to offensive coordinator from 2018-22. From there, Bieniemy was hired as an assistant head coach and offensive coordinator for the Commanders in 2023 before taking the same role at UCLA in 2024. Bieniemy returned to the NFL in 2025, coaching the Bears’ elite running backs unit on the way to the Divisional Round of the 2026 NFL Playoffs. While only time will tell what the future holds for Nagy, be that a head coaching gig in Tennessee or another offensive coordinatorship elsewhere, the Chiefs appear interested in bringing back a fixture of their Super Bowl rosters in the hopes of getting back to the promised land in 2027. The Kansas City Chiefs are offensive coordinator hunting, sparking Eric Bieniemy rumors again. Head coach Andy Reid has the ball in his court on “EB.” One ex-Chiefs Super Bowl winner, though, strongly endorses Bieniemy’s return. Retired offensive lineman Mitchell Schwartz took to the social media website X, formerly Twitter, to share why “EB” deserves another chance. “Getting EB back is the best outcome given that…

Caitlin Clark sends heartfelt message to Indiana football before national title game

The Indiana football program is currently gearing up for the national championship game, which will take place on Monday evening against the Miami Hurricanes. The Hoosiers have had a dominant playoff run so far, blowing out both the Oregon Ducks and the Alabama Crimson Tide en route to the game’s biggest stage, and they will look to secure their first national title in school history against the Hurricanes. To say that the Hoosiers have the full support of their home state would be an understatement, and earlier in the day on Monday, Indiana Fever superstar Caitlin Clark took to social media with a special message for Indiana ahead of the big game. “Best of luck to @IndianaFootball we are all pulling for you !! Get it done,” wrote Clark on X, formerly Twitter. Indiana football has been dominant throughout this season, having not lost a game so far this year and really only coming close to doing so on a couple of occasions. The Hoosiers will be taking on a Miami team that was let into the playoff in a controversial decision over Notre Dame, but has more than justified that choice from the committee with their play thus far, knocking off the Texas A&M Aggies, Ohio State Buckeyes, and Ole Miss Rebels in order to punch their ticket to the championship game. The Miami defensive front is full of future NFL talent and will present a big challenge for Indiana, but if Fernando Mendoza has even just a little bit of time in the pocket, he has proven more than capable of making big plays with consistency on this run. After watching the Indiana Pacers and the Indiana Fever come up short in the playoffs throughout the last 12 months, Indiana fans will hope that the Hoosiers are finally able to bring a championship home to the state. Bears’ Rome Odunze gives harsh review of his disappointing 2025 season

The Chicago Bears and their fans are forced to confront familiar feelings following Sunday’s 20-17 overtime loss to the Los Angeles Rams in the NFC Divisional Round. The franchise’s once incomprehensible Super Bowl dream was much clearer in the final minutes of this bitterly cold playoffs clash, but a Caleb Williams interception and subsequent LA scoring drive ended an exhilarating season. The team is not wallowing…

49ers’ 3-round 2026 NFL Draft according to PFF mock draft simulator after playoff rout

The San Francisco 49ers got humbled during the Divisional Round of the playoffs. San Francisco was crushed 41-6 by Seattle in a game where the 49ers were completely outmatched. The 49ers deserve credit for making it so far into the playoffs despite a mountain of injuries. Now San Francisco enters the offseason and should be feeling the urge to upgrade the roster this spring. One area where they could take a big step…

Alex Caruso, Jaylin Williams both exit Thunder game vs Cavs with injury

As the Oklahoma City Thunder took on the Cleveland Cavaliers in a potential preview of the 2026 NBA Finals, disaster struck when Jaylin Williams and Alex Caruso both exited the game after less than 10 minutes of action each. With NBA fans openly wondering the statuses of the two key contributors to Mark Daigneault’s squad, ClutchPoints’ Brett Siegel broke the bad news, noting on social media that Caruso and Williams would be out of action with groin soreness and a lower back contusion, respectively. “The Thunder say Alex Caruso (right groin soreness) and Jaylin Williams (low back contusion) will not return to today’s game against Cleveland,” Siegel wrote. With Jalen Williams already out of action for the game with a hamstring injury, the Thunder gave the other J. Williams his fourth start of the season, only for the fourth-year big man to exit the game after just eight minutes of action. Caruso, too, was largely expected to take on a bigger role with Williams out as the team’s premier two-way guard off the bench, only for his night to end after only seven minutes with just one point on the board for his trouble. Fortunately for the Thunder, even shorthanded, the team had little trouble taking on the Cavs early on, with the team outscoring Cleveland in each of the first two quarters of the game for a combined score of 66-51. After ending a five-game winning streak with a surprising loss to the Miami Heat on Saturday, the Cavs are in good shape to get back in the winning column against a potential NBA Finals team. Steelers’ top 3 free agent targets after getting crushed by Texans in playoffs

The Pittsburgh Steelers were no match for the Houston Texans when they dropped the Wild Card game in overwhelming fashion. Pittsburgh was unable to deliver any kind of threat on the offensive end, and it’s clear that multiple moves will have to be made in the offseason if the team is going to return to the playoffs next year and perform in a way that will allow the team to have a legitimate chance of advancing once they get to the postseason. The Steelers will no longe be a reflection of head coach Mike Tomlin. He stepped down from his post about 24 hours after the loss and the team will have a new leader. They may or may not have a new quarterback since Aaron Rodgers is 42 years old and he has slowed dramatically. He can still be effective throwing the ball, but he no longer has the ability to buy time in the pocket and he can’t be counted on to escape the pass rush. That means the Steelers will go through a transition this offseason and figure out a new direction. That does not necessarily mean the team will endure a losing season as the organization goes through major changes. If general manager Omar Khan and player personnel vice president Dan Rooney Jr. make the right choices, the Steelers can once again contend in the AFC North and become a playoff team. The Steelers were consistent winners under Tomlin, but they have not won a playoff game since the 2016 season. The Steelers have 6 Super Bowl titles to their credit, and they would like to get back to putting a dominant team on the field. The right free-agent moves could help them. Steelers have to become more of an offensive threat The Steelers may have won the AFC North with a 10-7 record, but the offense struggled most of the season. The team needed a solid contribution from the ground attack, but Jaylen Warren and Kenneth Gainwell did not get enough support from the offensive line to make more than occasional contributions. The Steelers ranked 25th in offense with an average of 305.6 yards per game. The running game averaged just 103.3 yards per game, and opponents knew that big plays were going to be few and far between. The acquisition of an anchor on the offensive line like Ravens center Tyler Linderbaum could go a long way to giving the Steelers a much more productive offensive front. Linderbaum has made the Pro Bowl in each of the last 3 seasons and he provides a powerful presence as well as leadership from one of the most important positions on the offensive line. Linderbaum can not only open holes on the interior for the running game, he can also provide security for the quarterback because the interior pass rush is going to be stopped in its tracks on a majority of the snaps. Improvement at the RB slot is needed While Warren and Gainwell are both honest backs who lay it on the line in every game, the Steelers could use a running back who can hit the home run. Breece Hall of the Jets could be an ideal fit for the team. Hall has the speed to break long runs, and he has demonstrated his ability even though he has been stuck on a Jets team that is often buried in the second half of games. Hall is coming off his best season, as he rushed for 1,065 yards while averaging 4.4 yards per carry. He scored 4 rushing TDs and he also caught 36 passes for 350 yards and 1 touchdown. Hall has the strength to bust through arm tackles at 5-11 and 219 pounds, and he is capable of wearing down defenses in close games. He caught a career-high 76 passes in the 2023 season and he could clearly serve as a dual threat for the Steelers if they can sign him to a free-agent contract. Improvement at the LB spot would help the defense Defense has long been a calling card for the Steelers but they were below average in that area, giving up 356.9 yards per game. That ranked 26th and that’s not good enough. Linebackers Payton Wilson and Patrick Queen led the Steelers in tackles with 126 and 120, respectively. However, fellow LB T.J. Watt is the dominant force on defense as he had 55 tackles,…

How Victor Wembanyama’s All-Star starter nod secures Spurs franchise history

Add another honor to the growing Victor Wembanyama legend as he secures a unique spot within the storied history of the San Antonio Spurs franchise. In being selected as a starter in the 2026 All-Star Game, the recently turned 22-year-old becomes only the fifth Spur ever to start in the annual NBA classic. Not on that list are Pro Basketball Hall-of-Famers Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili, who are widely regarded as two of the best six players in team history. While the selection marks Wemby’s second consecutive All-Star nod, it’s his first as a starter. With the distinction, he joins San Antonio icons Tim Duncan and David Robinson, both of whom, like Wembanyama, are big men who went first overall in their respective drafts. The 2023 top overall draftee appears on his way to navigating turnarounds as Duncan and Robinson did before him. Robinson’s rookie year marked the greatest single-season turnaround in league history at the time. It was a record that stood until the Spurs broke it again, by a game (36) in Duncan’s first year as a pro, eight seasons later. The Spurs won their first-ever championship in Duncan’s second year. As of this latest Wembanyama accolade, the Spurs sport 29 wins through mid January and sit second in the Western Conference standings. They won 34 games all of last season. Kawhi Leonard, who earned 2014 Finals MVP honors, and Alvin Robertson, an NBA Defensive Player of the Year and four-time All-Star, round out the players in franchise history who’ve been selected as starters. San Antonio has now had at least one All-Star selection in 43 of the 49 NBA All-Star Games since the ABA-NBA merger in 1976, tied with the Los Angeles Lakers for the most of any franchise in that span. A look inside Victor Wembanyama’s 2025-2026 season The Spurs’ leading scorer for a third straight season has helped guide the Spurs to a 29-13 mark by averaging a career-best 24.5 points to go along with 10.9 rebounds, three assists, and 2.6 blocks in just under 29 minutes in 28 games. He is also shooting a career-high 51.6% (238-461) from the field and 38.2% (47-123) from beyond the arc. The 2023-2024 Rookie of the Year is the only player in the NBA averaging 20-plus points, 10-plus rebounds and two-or-more blocks. He leads the NBA in blocks per game and ranks fourth in rebounding. This season, the 2023-2024 Defensive Player of the Year runner-up extended his streak of consecutive games with a block to 101, which represents the third-longest streak in NBA history and set a franchise record. On January 13 at the Oklahoma City Thunder, he blocked the 500th shot of his career, becoming the second-youngest player in NBA history to have 500 blocks and fourth fastest ever to 500 at 143 games, joining Robinson, Manute Bol and Mark Eaton. In a November victory at the Chicago Bulls, Wemby became the first player in NBA history to record 35-plus points, 10-plus rebounds, 5-plus assists, 5-plus three-pointers and 5-plus blocks in a game. The 7-foot-5 phenom will suit up for the World Team on February 15 in a new format with two teams of players born in the United States and one team of international players competing in a round robin tournament. All-Star Starters were determined through a weighted vote by fans (50%), current NBA players (25%), and a media panel (25%).
