In reply to AB IZ DA GOAT. I’m on board with hiring a young leader who’s worked with the right kind of people to lead us forward. I’m just also starting to understand the appeal of a transition team on the way there. There’s going to be a lot asked of the new HC and things they likely haven’t had to do before, etc. it worked with a Cowher and Tomlin, partly because they had great coordinators off the bat to bear some of the load. In Tomlin’s case, there was Lebeau who also offered some continuity and credibility with the defensive players.

My hope at this point, subject to change as I learn more: 1 Sheelhaase 2 Shula 3 Klay 4 Flores 5 Minter I haven't read anything on Weaver yet. Going to do that now. I am torn between Shula and Sheelhaase. I could and would probably switch their order IF Sheelhaase would come over as OC. That might be best possible scenario to me. Would love to see the Klint added to the list too once that is possible if a decision hasn't been made. He would immediately go to number 1 for me. Not that anyone asked : )

In reply to dan6374. An even worse decision is being scared. Whose to say a bridge coach won't be a disaster?! Pete Caroll anyone? I would take the risk. If not, we may as well just promote one of the coordinators already on house. They know the team way better than MCarthy.
