Steven Dean Fought, a longtime legislative aide for local Democratic Party elected officials, died Jan. 10 at his home in Nebo, N.C. He was 71.

FirstEnergy wants the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio to relax reliability standards to give them more time to fix the problem when there’s a power outage. If FirstEnergy or the PUCO could be trusted, the problems connected to more severe weather could be dealt with through relaxed standards.
