Why do people think getting the number 1 or 2 overall pick makes it a lock that the pick will workout? How many number 1 picks have been busts? A ton, so even if we got the top pick the chances of it working out is as good as a coin flip. Thats why I think we need a offensive minded coavh who can develop a QB. They need to keep doing what they have been doing and build it slowly. Not to mention you run the risk of messing up your culture by losing on purpose.

For head coach it is more like 100-120 possible candidates. What percentage of position coaches and coordinators are hired each year from outside the NFL? I would guess a very small percentage.
