En mars 2021, Canal+ diffuse le documentaire « Je ne suis pas une salope, je suis journaliste », réalisé par Marie Portolano et Guillaume Priou. Il y est question du sexisme dont sont victimes les femmes exerçant le métier de journaliste dans le domaine du sport. Une séquence coupée où Marie Portolano évoquait devant son collègue Pierre Ménès, un geste déplacé qu’il aurait eu à son égard, va alors provoquer une gigantesque polémique qui aboutira quelques semaines plus tard à la fin de la collaboration du journaliste avec Canal+. Quatre ans et demi plus tard, Pierre Ménès a reparlé du sujet. Invité cette semaine de la chaîne YouTube Les Incorrectibles, Pierre Ménès a parlé de son ancienne collègue. « J’ai donnée une interview hier (…) et le mec me demande : ‘Est-ce que tu serais prêt à pardonner à Marie Portolano ?’ J’avoue que je ne m’attendais pas à cette question, et après avoir pris quelques secondes de réflexion, j’ai dit : ‘oui’. » Mais l’ancien trublion du Canal Football Club a ajouté un détail d’importance. « J’ai dit : ‘Oui, si la démarche vient d’elle.’« À ce moment, son interlocuteur a tenté une petite blague en disant : « Eh bien ça tombe bien, elle est là. » Pas de quoi troubler Pierre Ménès. « Non, elle n’est pas là parce que, comme en plus j’ai porté plainte contre elle en diffamation, j’imagine que dès qu’elle voit ma tronche, elle doit partir rapidement dans l’autre sens. » Marie Portolano mise en examen Et de poursuivre. « Oui, j’aimerais effectivement. Non pas que son amitié me manque plus que ça. Il y a des gens dont j’étais plus proche à Canal que Marie, mais oui, si elle demandait à me voir, j’irais la voir. » En attendant, Marie Portolano a été mise en examen cet été suite à la plainte en diffamation déposée contre elle par Pierre Ménès. Cette plainte fait suite à la sortie du livre de la présentatrice dans lequel elle évoque dans deux passages distincts, son ancien collègue au sein du service des sports de Canal+. La réconciliation n’est donc probablement pas pour tout de suite.

ESPN’s Alden González reported Wednesday that Rendon and the Angels are in talks about buying out the final year of his contract. González added that Rendon is expected to retire. Rendon didn’t play in 2025 while recovering from hip surgery. He averaged just over 50 games throughout the previous five seasons. The former Nationals star has been worth a grand total of 1.7 bWAR since 2021. He’s been injured for the vast majority of his Angels career, and his performance has been sluggish when on the field, with a .242/.348/.369 batting line as an Angel.
