In reply to Chris Thompson. You can never rely on the internet for anything. People just say things. Good grief. It's not even opinion, it's just straight up revisionist history and changed facts. If you had actually watched that team the year after they had gone 15-1, you would've known indisputably that they were a good team. The fact they lost Ben to a hyperextended knee 4 games into the season and didn't skip a beat even as he was out vs. the Brett Favre Packers and Browns, who they walloped, and almost beat the rival Ravens with Maddox after Batch went down, does not make them a lousy team. It suggests the opposite. The only teams they lost to that year were a reigning champ Patriots team (just 20-23), an eventual 12-4 Jaguars team (just 17-23), the Ravens (with Maddox starting, still 13-16), the 14-2 Colts, and the 11-5 Bengals (31-38). They didn't have these letdowns against 5-11 or 2-14 teams, but clobbered them. They then beat an 11-5 Bears team, and 7 more teams in a row, including a 14-2 team, 13-3 team, and 13-3 team, to win the Super Bowl. That was a bad team that others had to turn around? What are people talking about? Seriously? We used to post responsibly in the early '00s. What happened?
