Boyle explained. Along with the federal and city dollars, state money is now expected to also help with the preparations. With Gov. Shapiro signing the state budget this week, he announced $50 million will help with preparing for the FIFA World Cup and the MLB All Star Game in the city of Brotherly Love as well as the NFL Draft coming to Pittsburgh. “Those events are going to be huge drivers of our economy and tourism and economic activity as millions of people will descend upon Pennsylvania,” Shapiro said.
