Aerial Photos Show Site Preparation for First Epic Universe Expansion
Aerial photos posted by @bioreconstruct on X reveal the beginning stages of work on one of the expansion pads in Epic Universe. Epic Universe Expansion Image Source: @bioreconstruct on X Karen Irwin, President and COO of Universal Orlando Resort, said earlier this year, “We’re already planning for the next thing at Epic.” That plan now appears to be in action with prep work underway on a plot of land located between Other Worlds Mercantile and Super Nintendo World. The empty space is directly across from Moonship Chocolates & Celestial Sweets. Image Source: @bioreconstruct on X As of now, only basic dirt work and leveling is occurring in the plot of land, but this does mark the first prep work for expansion at Epic Universe. Due to its location, the expansion could be connected to part of Super Nintendo World or Celestial Park. Image Source: @bioreconstruct on X Recently, a permit was filed that teased a large expansion along with ”site utilities and foundation work.” The permit listed a 150,000 square feet location at 1001 Epic Blvd, Orlando, Florida 32819, the address of Epic Universe. The permit also lists “new construction” and May 7, 2026, as the end date. This date would be less than a year after the park opened. We previously speculated that this could be related to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic; however, it now appears that the permit could have been referring to this section of empty land in the park. Currently, Epic Universe has eleven rides and two shows across five portals. What do you think is next for Epic Universe? Let us know in the comments and on social media. A new snack kiosk has opened on Disney’s BoardWalk. The location serves some prepackaged popcorn, including an exclusive flavor to the BoardWalk. New Popcorn Kiosk at BoardWalk The new kiosk is located on Walt Disney World’s BoardWalk near Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs. Disney’s BoardWalk is a quarter-mile promenade of dining, shops, and nightlife. The menu offers several prepackaged popcorn options, as well as fan-favorite Mickey Pretzels, Premium Ice Cream Bars, and Premium Ice Cream Sandwiches. A selection of beers, seltzers, and cocktails are available, as well. Saltwater Taffy Popcorn (exclusive to BoardWalk Inn) – $7.49 Classic Kettle Corn – $6.99 Cheddar Popcorn – $6.99 Saltwater Taffy Popcorn – $7.49 We wanted to this to be unique and flavorful, but it doesn’t really taste like saltwater taffy at all. There is some faint banana flavor in some of the kernels and maybe even some cotton candy, though it’s hard to say. Overall, it’s more like a sweeter version of kettle basic kettle corn. There are also two other flavors of the Popcorn Junkie brand available: Classic Kettle Popcorn and Cheesy Cheddar Popcorn. Both are also in prepackaged bags. In other BoardWalk news, Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs announced the return of their Fried King’s Hawaiian Rolls not long after it was replaced with a Salmon Dog.
