Seahawks elevate Quandre Diggs, place George Holani on injured reserve
The Seattle Seahawks did some more roster shuffling ahead of Sunday’s game against the Minnesota Vikings. As expected, veteran safety Quandre Diggs has been elevated from the practice squad to the active roster. While safety Ty Okada is only questionable with an oblique injury, the lack of depth at the position means Diggs is likely to get his first snaps with the Seahawks since the 2023 season. Running back/kick returner Velus Jones Jr is the other game day elevation, and presumably it’s for special teams purposes since the Seahawks placed George Holani on injured reserve. The third-string running back is one of Seattle’s kick return specialists, and his hamstring injury is serious enough to keep him out until at least Week 17 at the Carolina Panthers. With Dareke Young and Tory Horton also on IR, all three of Seattle’s opening day returners are currently out injured. Rashid Shaheed will likely remain the primary kick and punt returner, but Jones may be the other kickoff guy in Holani’s absence. Lastly, Holani’s IR move opened up a roster spot for veteran running back Myles Gaskin, the Lynnwood native who starred at the University of Washington. Gaskin was signed to the active roster, leaving an open practice squad spot entering next week. Cam Akers is another running back option for the Seahawks, although Gaskin may be more likely to get carries given he’s spent more time with the team this year. In summary: Signed to active roster: RB Myles Gaskin Elevated to game day roster from practice squad: S Quandre Diggs, RB/KR Velus Jones Jr Placed on injured reserve (minimum four weeks): RB George Holani Game day inactives will be announced at about 11:35 am PT on Sunday.

SBNation Reacts results: Seahawks fans see Jaxon Smith-Njigba becoming JSN 2K
Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the NFL. Each week we ask questions of the most plugged-in Seattle Seahawks fans and fans across the country. It’s time to reveal the Seahawks Reacts results to close out November! As expected, winning against the Tennessee Titans (especially in a non-blowout) wasn’t enough to shift fan confidence at all. It was 96 percent following the loss to the Los Angeles Rams, and the Titans game was only good enough to bump that percentage point up by one. The main question of the week was whether or not Jaxon Smith-Njigba would get the yardage needed to surpass Calvin Johnson for the most receiving yards in a single NFL season. Two-thirds of respondents believe not only will JSN get beyond 1,964 yards, he’ll also be the first in league history to eclipse 2,000 receiving yards. As a reminder, JSN needs 652 receiving yards to get beyond Johnson’s existing record, and 687 to reach 2,000 yards. He’s on pace to be JSN 2K at the moment, and the fact that we’re even talking about such a historic feat is remarkable in itself. Before we call time on this one, let’s take a peek at how the Minnesota Vikings fanbase feels about their team after a bitterly disappointing 4-7 start… Oh. Thanks for participating in this week’s survey! Normal service will resume next week.

Phoenix took the Thunder’s best shot and kept swinging
My expectations going into that Suns game against Oklahoma City felt like a Led Zeppelin riff. If it keeps on raining, the levee’s going to break. Third quarter hit, Thunder pour in 38, Suns put up 30, and you could hear the wood straining. One more inch and the whole thing blows. But if there is one truth about this Phoenix squad, they do not let the levee snap. Not without a fight. They charged into the fourth with their chin out, taking punches and returning them with interest. They lost by 4 to a team that usually flattens opponents by 16. Win or lose, the standings do not care. There are no moral victories. Even so, walking out of that performance, it felt like a test where the teacher expected failure, and the class confidently circled every answer in pen. No banners hang for effort. Still, scoring 37 in the final frame against a defense built like government steel says something real. It says they refused to fold. It says they believed. Health problems persist, but so do the Suns. I did not leave watching this game disappointed. I left charged up, like I had inhaled the spark coming off the court. No, there are no moral victories. But there are some losses that leave you encouraged. Statement game. No excuses, no moral wins, just proof. This Suns team showed something real tonight— John Voita, III (@DarthVoita) November 29, 2025 Bright Side Baller Season Standings Mark Williams and Dillon Brooks were tied for exactly one game in the Bright Side Ball standings. Big Willy Style would have none of that! After his 21 and 16 against the Kings, he’s once again in second place in the BSB standings. Bright Side Baller Nominees Game 20 against the Thunder.
