Eminem surprises Lions fans with Thanksgiving halftime appearance
On Thursday afternoon, the Detroit Lions hit the field for an afternoon Thanksgiving game at home against the divisional rival Green Bay Packers. It was a huge game for both teams, each of whom is jockeying for position in the vaunted NFC North in anticipation of the Chicago Bears’ expected dropoff down the stretch of this season. The Lions got off to a rough start to this game, finding themselves on the trailing end of the scoreboard at halftime, and were hoping to ease their minds with a performance from Jack White at the break. Little did they know that Detroit native and legendary rapper Eminem would also be making an appearance at halftime, sending the crowd into a frenzy when he rose up onto the stage. Overall, regular season games don’t get much bigger than the one between the Packers and Lions on Thanksgiving. Both teams would love to host a playoff game this year as opposed to having to start out on the road, and it’s very possible that the winner of the matchup could be in the driver’s seat in the division. Perhaps Eminem also stopped by the locker room to give the team a pep talk at halftime. The post Eminem surprises Lions fans with Thanksgiving halftime appearance appeared first on ClutchPoints.

LeBron James’ feat with Lakers will put Thunder on notice
The Los Angeles Lakers have been rolling of late, winners of all three games since LeBron James made his season debut last week. James has taken more of a secondary role since rejoining the lineup, but that has paid dividends for Los Angeles so far, which currently sits at 13-4 on the season so far. James was most impressive in the team’s recent win over the Los Angeles Clippers at home, recording 25 points to go along with six rebounds and six assists in that victory per Statmuse, and turning up the scoring when his team needed him to most. Of course, the Lakers are still not without their skeptics, who view them as being several tiers below the Oklahoma City Thunder, who won the NBA championship last year and have started out 18-1 so far in 2025-26. Recently, the Lakers were blown out by the Thunder, made even more embarrassing by the fact that Oklahoma City was on the second night of a back to back in that game. While James, who was not yet back in the lineup for that game, would certainly help to offset some of Oklahoma City’s ability to wall off driving lanes, it would still appear that the Lakers would be at a significant talent deficit, particularly defensively, against the Thunder. Los Angeles currently does not have many, if any, legitimate two way players on the roster. Austin Reaves and Luka Doncic have both gotten off to elite offensive starts but are far from stoppers on the defensive end of the floor. Marcus Smart and Jarred Vanderbilt are both elite defenders, but are sporadic at best on offense. Rui Hachimura has also seen his defensive reputation take a significant hit since joining Los Angeles. This being the case, the Lakers are still probably a big piece away from truly competing with a Thunder team that has two-way players at every position of the roster, and even then, it would only be a puncher’s chance. Giants’ Jaxson Dart officially clears concussion protocol ahead of Patriots clash
Returning this Monday night against the New England Patriots will be rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart, who is the future of the New York Giants. Dart has officially cleared concussion protocol, according to the Giants. Dart didn’t start the first few games of the season, but once he became the starter, he took off running and hasn’t looked back since. He suffered a concussion against the Chicago Bears in Week 10 and has not played since. Jameis Winston took over under center and almost beat the Detroit Lions last week in a thrilling overtime loss. Dart returned to practice this week as a full participant, depsite not being officially cleared from protocol at the time. The Giants remain just 2-10, but they have an extremely bright future with Dart as the quarterback. On the season, the rookie has thrown for 1,417 yards and 10 touchdowns. He’s thrown only three interceptions with a QBR of 64.7. His rushing touchdowns are eye-opening as he has seven already. Dart is very swifty in the red zone and uses his size and speed to make defenders miss. He will have a hard time, however, facing a Patriots defense coached by Mike Vrabel. The Pats only allow 301 yards per game, which is 8th in the NFL. Furthermore, their 18.8 points allowed per game is also 8th in the NFL, and the Pats only allow 87.7 rush yards per game, second in the NFL. NE is in the middle of the pack in passing yards allowed, so Dart does have a chance to excel there. This Monday Night Football contest against the New England Patriots will be one to watch.
