Comment on Report: Brian Flores Considered ‘Serious Contender’ For Steelers’ Head Coaching Vacancy by HazyDavey
In reply to CoachCot. People grow. We had a year's worth of actual experience with him, and I've heard nothing bad about him in Minnesota. I'm not for or against him. What do I know about any of these guys? I wish I could interview them all.

Comment on Steelers Announce Full Slate Of Virtual Coach Interviews, Team’s Upcoming Schedule by Archthel_brandt
I think they ought to go for Shula ....he has worked in so many positions as an assistant over 15 years, he's seen a lot of success with the Rams and Sean McVay, and i'd have to roll some dice in that connection between Shula's grandfather and Chuck Noll, having recommended Chuck to coach the Steelers decades ago.. We need to get as far from Tomlin as possible on this next choice. But the problem is, no matter who takes this position of HC, Tomlin's overspending on defense, over-reliance on older players, and that patchwork offense, might give some of the high end prospects some pause.. Tomlin definitely did not leave the team they way he found it fo sho I think of all the non-head coach, assistant coaches, Chris has the most experience working in the NF, and man, the lineage of football he comes from..Don Shula coached for 25 seasons for Miami...328 regular season wins as a coach, 19 playoff wins? I honestly don't think there's a better candidate. And all the other coaches on that list, if they don't get plucked up for other head coaching roles, maybe OC/DC?

Comment on Beat Writer Sees Steelers Picking Up Broderick Jones’ 5th-Year Option: ‘Want To Give Him Every Opportunity’ by Anthony
In reply to AtlanticMM. I can agree with the first part. But regardless - teams don't usually pick 1st rounders for just 4 years of play which right now to this day is making the pick not worth it. It was fine, I guess, back then. One of our issues has been overall talent and depth (in part not keeping players that weren't good enough) so I'm trying to reinforce the product we see on the field, especially on the offensive side of the ball where we've struggled heavily for years.
