After finishing as the 29th-ranked offense during his first season, they rose to 24th in 2022 and finally 17th in 2023 before he was fired by the franchise. During his two seasons calling plays under Mike Vrabel, Smith had the Titan offense ranked 12th in 2019 and topped out at 3rd during the 2020 season where they averaged 396.4 yards and 30.7 points per game. That same season, quarterback Ryan Tannehill threw for 3,819 yards and 33 touchdowns to just seven interceptions. That was also the season where running back Derrick Henry rushed for 2,027 yards and 17 touchdowns. Wide receiver A.J. Brown hauled in 70 passes for 1,075 yards and 11 touchdowns while Corey Davis had the best year of his career with 984 receiving yards and five touchdowns (both career highs).
