Rebels in the Pros: Jaxson Dart Needs a New Coach
Yep. You read that right. It seems like a real ugly situation brewing in New York as the GM got rid of Brian Daboll, the man who went all in on former Rebel Jaxson Dart. The thing is, Daboll was right. So far, Dart has surpassed expectations, putting up better numbers than Jayden Daniels in his rookie season. The problem? The Giants have blown four double digit leads, the last one coming this past Sunday against the Bears. Now, they probably hang on and win if Dart doesn’t leave with a concussion and they had to rely on the fossils of Russel Wilson. INSANE: #Giants rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart has statistically OUTPLAYED #Commander Jayden Daniels' rookie season through seven games.🤯🤯🤯If Dart had played the entire season, it would’ve been one of the greatest rookie seasons of all time.Jaxson Dart is incredible. pic.twitter.com/sf8cqFVzp0— MLFootball (@MLFootball) November 10, 2025 Dart was phenomenal again for the Giants, adding two more rushing touchdowns to his resume and doing things that no rookie quarterback has ever done in the NFL. Jaxson Dart is the first QB in NFL HISTORY with a rushing touchdown in 5 straight games. Wow. 😯 pic.twitter.com/goZAcADOvc— Bleacher Report (@BleacherReport) November 9, 2025 Jaxson Dart this season:– Higher passer rating than Caleb Williams– Higher completion pct. than Joe Flacco– More passing TD than Trevor Lawrence– More rushing TD than Saquon BarkleyThe future is now pic.twitter.com/meSQPMEMH9— BetMGM 🦁 (@BetMGM) November 9, 2025 Yea he’s that dude and the Rebels that have entered the NFL since Lane Kiffin’s arrival will continue to have a bigger impact each passing year. Here are some other former Rebs from the weekend: Evan Engram had two catches for 17 yards on Thursday night against the Las Vegas Raiders. Hey here’s a name. Laquon Treadwell recorded a tackle on special teams for the Colts! Dawson Knox had three catches for 37 yards while Elijah Moore had two for nine yards in a shocking loss to the Miami Dolphins. Benito Jones had two tackles in that same game. Jaxson Dart finished with 308 yards of total offense and the only two touchdowns for the Giants. Princely Umanmielen had three tackles and a hit on the QB against the Saints. Walter Nolen followed suit, adding a QB hit of his own to two tackles for the Cardinals. Trey Amos also had two tackles for the Commanders. DK Metcalf had seven targets, but only managed to haul in three of them for 35 yards. On the other sideline, Tre Harris only had two catches for a whopping four yards. AJ Brown added to the disappointing day of former Rebel receivers with just two catches for 13 yards himself.

Knicks keep rolling, bash Brooklyn in battle of the boroughs
The New York Knicks cruised past the Brooklyn Nets, 134–98, to stay perfect at Madison Square Garden this season. Head Coach Mike Brown praised his team’s progress but stressed the need for continued growth as the Knicks prepare for postseason-level play. Shara Talia Taylor has more from both sidelines, including thoughts from Brown and Brooklyn’s Jordi Fernández on their longtime connection and the game’s key takeaways.

How to watch Ole Miss vs. Memphis basketball: Tipoff time, TV and streaming options
The guys and gal here at Red Cup haven’t written about basketball too much, but all that is about to change as the men’s basketball season hits a different gear on Tuesday against local rival Memphis Tigers. Ole Miss (2-0) head coach Chris Beard has gone in and completely revamped his roster from last season’s Sweet 16 run, though there are some familiar returning faces like All-SEC big man Malik Dia. The Tigers (1-0) and Penny Hardaway are in its eighth season together, and while the honeymoon period is long gone, the alum/coach has not seemed to be able to get this program back to where its fans want it to be. Memphis won its conference tournament last year and went 29-6 overall only to have a first round upset in the NCCA Tournament by Colorado State. Along the way last year, the Tigers defeated Ole Miss in Memphis by nearly 20 points, but ultimately the Rebels were the one making the postseason run. Other than Dia and Eduardo Klafke, there is not much returning production for Ole Miss, and the Rebels are relying on eight impact transfers to replicate last season’s success. Kansas transfer AJ Storr currently leads the team in scoring after two games with 18.5 points per game. High Point transfer Kezza Giffa has added 10.5 points per game as well. Two other new faces to college basketball are senior guard Ilias Kamardine, a 22-year old who has played several seasons of club basketball in France, and freshman guard Patton Pinkins who are scoring 14 and 6.5 points per game respectively. This is one of those non-conference games that shapes a resume and gives some latitude later in the year during the meat grinder that is SEC scheduling. As a refresher on the NET rankings, winning on your home court is very much expected to climb the rankings, but once you are winning/losing by more than 10 points, it doesn’t negatively or positively impact the game outcome. The Rebels have won both its early non-conference games in easy fashion, so this is the first true test of the season. FanDuel Sportsbook lists the Rebels at -8.5 and -490 moneyline and the over/under for the game sits at 156.5. Expect some fireworks and some good basketball in Oxford folks. Even though the outside temperatures are going to be a little lower than normal, tickets are still available though sparse and the secondary market is soft with tickets in the lower bowl available for $50-75 each and upper bowl tickets at basically face value. Defense Into Offense: This Year’s Knicks Have a New Identity

Knicks Bulletin: ‘You said plus-40 in 17 minutes? Damn’

Knicks 134, Nets 98: Knicks thrash crosstown rivals in 48-minute beatdown

What we’ve learned (so far) about the Mike Brown Knicks

Knicks 134, Nets 98: Scenes from a ruthless rout
Last season, the Knicks’ (6-3) largest margin of victory was 37 points in a January game against the Grizzlies. Tonight, just nine games into the season, they came close to matching that in a blistering beat down of the Brooklyn Nets (1-9). Final score: 134-98. Still undefeated at MSG, punks! The Knicks cooked the Nets 40-22 in the first quarter. Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns dictated the tempo, while OG Anunoby and Mikal Bridges flexed on both ends of the floor. The home team attacked the paint, whipped the ball about, and closed the period on a 20-6 surge that electrified the Garden. All evening long, the Knicks overwhelmed the Nets on every level. Despite surrendering 40 points in the second period, our heroes maintained control straight through til halftime, taking a 77-62 lead into the break. Towns and Anunoby had powered another push, Brunson and Jordan Clarkson ran amok, and the ’Bockers sank a slew of threes while finishing strong at the rim. First time I can think of that the Knicks hit the corner cutter backdoor in their new “wheel” spacing concept. pic.twitter.com/UBzq64zywX— Rit Holtzman (@BenRitholtzNBA) November 10, 2025 Through one half, the Knicks had shot 65% from the field and 56% from three, tallying 20 assists on 28 made baskets. They poured in 36 points in the paint, hustled for nine fast-break points, and limited their mistakes. Brooklyn did hit nearly half their shots but had no counter to New York’s precision and pace. The Knicks came out blazing after the break. They opened the third with 12 unanswered points en route to a 39-point lead. They eclipsed 100-points with fourish minutes left in the quarter, outscoring Brooklyn 35-17 for a 112-79 advantage heading to the fourth. Brunson barely broke a sweat, Towns and Robinson owned the interior, and Josh Hart delivered his customary energy as the Knicks roasted the Nets’ marshmallow defense. Knicks have been throwing it DOWN in The Garden 💪😤@stevenovak16 | #NewYorkForever pic.twitter.com/N1aGeNs7kW— KNICKS ON MSG (@KnicksMSGN) November 10, 2025 The Knicks cruised through the fourth to seal the blowout. KAT and OG led the charge to push the maintain the lead until the reserves took over. New York’s bench brought the energy, with Mohamed Diawara and Guerschon Yabusele adding late buckets as the Knicks coasted to a wire-to-wire win. That makes it 11 straight over the Barclays Bunch. Up Next My notes say that Mr. Zeno has a recap coming your way. Then Ja Morant (if still on the team) and the Memphis Grizzlies visit on Tuesday. Rest up, Knickerbockers. Box Score
