Winter weather advisory affecting Alabama Sunday
A winter weather advisory was released by the National Weather Service on Saturday at 8:31 p.m. valid for Sunday between 3 a.m. and noon for Russell, Pike and Barbour counties.The weather service says to anticipate, "Total snow accumulations up to one inch."
Saturday afternoon crash claims life of Alabama man
An Alabama man died in a single-vehicle crash Saturday afternoon in Jackson County, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said.Kenneth D. Evans, 57, of Flat Rock, was fatally injured when the 2016 Ford Fiesta he was driving left the roadway and overturned before striking a tree. Evans was pronounced dead at the scene.
