Comment on Ben Roethlisberger ‘Would Not Draft A Quarterback’ For Years As Steelers’ GM: ‘Probably Gonna Look Like Poo’ by DesertKaktus
I think the better take is don't force the QB position in the draft. The "build around the QB" doesn't make any sense when you actually scrutinize it. Because it doesn't actually mean anything. You can ALWAYS build around the QB. "Oh we could have taken Allen or Mahomes but we decided to build around him." That is catastrophic decision making. You could have had Mahomes! But that being said, is if you have a chance at say a McDuffie and you draft a non-first round graded QB in Pickett, that's stupid too. And the reason is because you forced it.

Comment on Steelers Have To Change Their Ways To Stay Relevant, Glazer Says: ‘Mike T Really, Really Covered Up A Lot’ by Louis
In reply to SuburaNation. Last year, the Vikings opened a 40-acre practice and training facility that cost them $120M and they promptly missed the playoffs. In 2024, the Chargers opened a new 14-acre facility that cost $276M. They've lost in the wildcard round (16-3 and 32-12) in both seasons since. In 2021, the Dolphins opened a 244,000 sqft state-of-the-art training facility that cost $135M, and they haven't won a playoff game since. And then you have the Cowboys, who spent over $1.5B on Jerry's World, which includes their stadium and practice facility (plus a mall, concert venue and HS stadium). They missed the playoffs in 2019, 2020, 2024, and 2025 and they went 1-3 in the 2021 - 2023 postseasons. Clearly, those massive capital expenditures don't contribute to on-field success. So, why would the Rooney family even consider spending money like that? If anything, it would persuade convince them not to.

Comment on ‘I’m Glad I Didn’t Beat Noll’s Record:’ Heyward Reveals One Comment Tomlin Made In Final Meeting by JOSEPHHAMMER
In reply to Planbbobby. I would say look at how many franchises have turned themselves around, won playoff games, and even a SB here and there since our last playoff win in 2016. -Tomlin won a Super Bowl and got to another in his first four seasons. -He since has won ONLY three playoff games in 15 years. -He has suffered nine first-round exits. -He has lost seven straight postseason games, including the last five by double-digit scores. -His winning percentage in the playoffs is .400. I'm glad he stepped down. Not hate, he just sucked.
