First pro deal for Jones Ellie Jones has spoken of her pride to play at the iconic Goodison Park after the teen signed her first professional contract with the club, which will keep the midfielder with the Blues until June 2027. Speaking to evertontv Jones, who made her debut in royal blue against Manchester United in November 2024, also praised the support of her teammates, saying: “It is just unreal, I have been waiting a while for this and it is really good. I feel really good about this opportunity. “I am very proud to wear this badge – everything about it is brilliant: the fans, the girls, playing at Goodison Park; it is all really good. “Goodison is such a nice stadium and it is so historic. It has got so much about it, it is honestly great to be playing there. “The girls have helped me massively. Ever since I have been in and around the first-team, everyone has been so welcoming,” she added. “I spoke to Meg [Finnigan] before and she was saying it feels like I have been on a contract already because I have been here for so long. “Brian has given me opportunities and I am very grateful for that.”
