Olympian Gable Steveson Earns Second MMA Win with Quick KO

Olympic gold medal wrestler Gable Steveson continues to turn heads in his young MMA career. The 25-year old heavyweight entered the cage for the second time on Sunday, as part of the impromptu main event of Anthony Pettis FC 21. Headlining over a title fight that had previously topped the marquee, Steveson was paired up with Kevin Hein, a 2-1 heavyweight to start the night with an undefeated amateur record. Steveson, incorrectly billed as Stevenson on the APFC 21 broadcast, didn’t take long to get the job done. Just 24 seconds, in fact, as he clobbered Hein with a left hand, transitioned seamlessly into a takedown, then added one more ground strike to seal the deal. Hein honestly looked out of it after the initial blow, but Steveson showed some killer instincts in the sequence. Gable Steveson just flatlined Kevin Hein in 30 seconds. Now 2-0 in pro MMA. Send him to the UFC. 🖊️ pic.twitter.com/2qWvGxnF9r — FULL SEND MMA (@full_send_mma) November 24, 2025 With the win, Gable Steveson is now 2-0 as a mixed martial artist. Formerly training for a pro wrestling career with the WWE, the 2020 Olympic gold medal winner (freestyle wrestling) is now working alongside UFC legend Jon Jones. In addition to MMA, Steveson picked up a win over Billy Swanson at a Dirty Boxing event at the end of October, less than a month before his MMA return. The American wrestler has expressed a desire to compete on the UFC’s White House card, which is expected to arrive next June. Of course, he needs to earn a UFC contract first, which performances like Sunday’s will no doubt help secure. K’Lavon Chaisson Highlights Impressive Patriots Feat Immediately After Bengals Win

The New England Patriots earned win No. 10 on the year on Sunday afternoon, as they took down the Cincinnati Bengals 26-20. While that is impressive in its own right, linebacker K’Lavon Chaisson made sure to highlight another big accomplishment immediately after this game ended. Chaisson has quickly become an important piece of the Pats’ defensive line, and while he wasn’t at his best in Week 12 (he only had one…

Should Patriots Renew Brandon Aiyuk Pursuit Amid 49ers Release Rumors?

The Patriots whiffed on their attempt to trade for Brandon Aiyuk over a year ago, but could they get another chance? New England aggressively pursued Aiyuk during August of 2024 amid the star receiver’s contract drama with the 49ers. They even reportedly had a deal in place with San Francisco — including a massive contract extension — but Aiyuk rejected the Patriots and the also-interested Cleveland Browns. Aiyuk, who was open to joining the Pittsburgh Steelers, eventually rescinded his trade request and re-signed with the 49ers. Just two months later, the 2020 first-round pick suffered a major knee injury and hasn’t played since. But that was then, and this is now. And, well, now it sounds like Aiyuk’s 49ers career basically is over. Last Friday, Dianna Russini and Michael Silver of The Athletic published a bombshell story about Aiyuk and the 49ers heading for a “stunning divorce.” Most notably, the two insiders reported that a release, rather than a trade, is “expected,” meaning the Patriots and other potential suitors seemingly could land Aiyuk on a major discount. “It’s now likely that (Aiyuk) has played his last game with the franchise, according to numerous sources briefed on the matter, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss a sensitive situation,” Russini and Silver wrote. “Some in the organization are holding out hope that the relationship can be salvaged enough for him to return this season. However, multiple sources believe that a reconciliation is unlikely.” That’s great and all, but would Mike Vrabel and company even want the 27-year-old? Jerod Mayo and Eliot Wolf obviously did. But New England’s top personnel decision-makers now are Vrabel and Ryan Cowden, and it’s fair to wonder whether either would want Aiyuk, given the details of the story and that he hasn’t played a snap since October of 2024. “Aiyuk, sources say, has failed to attend meetings and declined to participate in other team activities in recent months, and the 49ers have grown increasingly frustrated with the receiver’s lack of communication,” Russini and Silver wrote. “The 49ers, sources say, responded by voiding the guaranteed money in Aiyuk’s contract for 2026, asserting that the absences amounted to a failure to fulfill his contractual obligations. Aiyuk, according to multiple league sources, told NFL Players Association representatives that he did not want to fight the move via an official grievance. That would clear the way for his expected release at season’s end.” With Vrabel leading the charge, the Patriots are trying to build a culture of accountability, hard work and togetherness. And Aiyuk doesn’t sound like a great fit. “It was expected that Aiyuk could return for the latter part of this season, but he has remained on the PUP list,” Russini and Silver wrote. “His presence at the team’s training facility has become scarce; sources say Aiyuk typically works out early in the morning and departs before other 49ers players arrive. Numerous members of the organization — including some 49ers players — have reached out to Aiyuk in recent weeks in an unsuccessful attempt to bring him back into the fold, one source said.” Aiyuk’s deal already contained zero guarantees for 2027 and 2028, so a contract and/or trade drama likely would’ve happened this offseason regardless. But with him now guaranteed zero money for 2026 as well, the 49ers could cut bait while incurring just $1.3 million in salary cap losses, per Over The Cap. “In voiding Aiyuk’s future guarantees, the 49ers can recover a significant portion of the contract,” Russini and Silver wrote. “His 2026 option bonus would have paid out $24.935 million. He stood to earn a $1.215 million base salary for the 2026 season, as well as a $100,000 workout bonus and roster bonuses of $750,000 per game.” Not all diva receivers are created equally. Stefon Diggs has a spotty track record, but his issues have centered around wanting the ball more and not keeping things private. His work…

Watch Hunter Henry Honor Patriots Teammate After Touchdown Vs. Bengals

The New England Patriots earned their ninth-straight victory in Week 12 with a 26-20 win over the Cincinnati Bengals. One of the stars of the game was tight end Hunter Henry, and he made a heartwarming gesture after finding the end zone in this one. Henry paced all receivers in this game with seven receptions for 115 yards and one touchdown. With New England’s passing attack struggling at times, Henry was the…

Patriots Reportedly Avoid Worst Case Scenario With Will Campbell Injury

The New England Patriots grinded out a 26-20 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals, but they did not escape this game unscathed. Several players left the game early due to injuries, with rookie left tackle Will Campbell’s departure seeming to be the most concerning of the bunch. Campbell appeared to get rolled up on in the third quarter, and after making his way to the sidelines, he ended up having to get carted to…

Four Studs, Four Duds From Patriots’ Concerning Win Over Bengals

The New England Patriots became the first team in the NFL to win 10 games this season when they handed the Cincinnati Bengals a 26-20 defeat in Week 12. The win was the Patriots’ ninth-straight, and yet, this was perhaps their most concerning victory during that stretch. Injuries are beginning to pop up with alarming frequency, which is leading to more and more holes for the coaching staff to fix. Against the Bengals, the team did just enough to pull out a win, so let’s take a look back at the action and pick out four studs and four duds from this game. Studs Marcus Jones When the Pats need a big play, Marcus Jones always seems to step up and deliver. Jones recorded a 33-yard pick-six of Joe Flacco in the second quarter to give New England a 14-10 lead it would not relinquish. Jones also had five tackles and two pass deflections, with the second coming on a last gasp fourth down attempt that ended Cincy’s comeback hopes. Carlton Davis III It was a fairly quiet game for Carlton Davis III until the fourth quarter, when Flacco continually targeted him. The results weren’t great for him, as Davis racked up three pass deflections, while also pacing the defense with eight tackles. In one quarter, Davis showed exactly why the Patriots handed him a three-year, $60 million contract in free agency. Hunter Henry On a day when the passing attack wasn’t exactly firing on all cylinders, Hunter Henry was the lone source of consistency. He led all receivers with seven receptions for 115 yards and a touchdown, and he could have had another if it weren’t for a ticky-tack offensive pass interference call on Mack Hollins. Andy Borregales New England needed every point it could get in this game, which made Andy Borregales’ perfect day all the more important. Borregales hit all four of his field goal attempts and both of his extra point attempts, with his 52-yarder late in the fourth quarter proving to be very important in helping his team hold onto this win. Duds Rhamondre Stevenson In his first game back from a three-game absence due to injury, Rhamondre Stevenson did virtually nothing to prove he deserves snaps over TreVeyon Henderson. Stevenson picked up just five yards on six carries, while also catching one pass for five yards. He also got stuffed twice on goal-to-go situations, and he’s lucky that didn’t come back to bite the team. Christian Gonzalez With Ja’Marr Chase suspended for this game, it seemed like Christian Gonzalez would wreak havoc on the Bengals’ passing attack. Instead, he had his worst game of the year. While he had three tackles, his coverage wasn’t particularly sticky, and he put up virtually no resistance while shadowing Mitchell Tinsley on his 17-yard touchdown reception. K’Lavon Chaisson For much of the season, K’Lavon Chaisson has been the Pats’ most disruptive defensive lineman, but he was practically invisible in this game. He had just one tackle when all was said and done, and he committed a foolish encroachment penalty in a 4th & 5 situation where it didn’t seem like Cincy was even going to run a play. Drake Maye The final numbers for Drake Maye (22/35, 294 YDS, 1 TD, 1 INT, 5 CAR, 22 YDS) aren’t bad, but this was not his best game. Maye was awful in the first quarter, and while he eventually found his footing, the offense settled for field goals instead of touchdowns too frequently. Expectations have risen for Maye, and he needs to be better moving forward. More NFL: Mike Vrabel Reveals True Thoughts On Drake Maye’s New Nickname
