Police investigating after woman found dead near warehouse in Fort Lauderdale
Police are investigating after a woman was found dead near a warehouse in Fort Lauderdale Friday morning. Officers had responded to the 900 block of Northwest 10th Avenue around 8:30 a.m. after receiving a call of a possible dead person, Fort Lauderdale Police officials said. When officers arrived, they found the woman’s body. Police haven’t released her identity or said how she may have died but said the medical examiner would determine the exact cause of death. An investigation was ongoing although police said no foul play was suspected.

The Life Time Miami Marathon and Half race is upon us, and with it, the chance for athletes from all over the world to give it everything they’ve got. But even if you’re not going to spend your weekend running, the marathon may still work its way into your plans—and the roadway. Here’s what to know. Where and when is the Miami Marathon 2026? On Saturday, runners will be participating in the Life Time Tropical 5K at the Miami Children’s Museum followed by a beach cleanup, shakeout run, expo and briefings. The Life Time Miami Marathon and Half officially starts on Sunday at 6 a.m. The 26.2-mile course starts by heading north in front of the Kaseya Center and finishes at Bayfront Park. Miami Marathon 2026 course route After the race begins runners will “proceed to Miami Beach via the Venetian Island up Dade Blvd., over the McArthur Causeway and as far south as Coconut Grove.” Participants will be off the course by 2 p.m., and some roads may open before then. Traffic impacts and road closures “We recommend all those wishing to enter to enter or exit Miami Beach between 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM utilize the Julia Tuttle Causeway,” organizers say on the marathon’s official website. Several roads will be closed in the following areas at certain times: Downtown/Brickell: 5:00 am – 2:00 pm MacArthur Cswy EB: 5:00 am – 8:15 am Miami Beach Area: 5:00 am – 10:00 am Venetian Cswy: 6:00 am – 10:00 am Rickenbacker: 6:30 am – 12:00 pm Coconut Grove Area: 7:00 am – 1:00 pm PortMiami will remain open and drivers should access it through Northeast 5th Street.
