A teen was injured after several shots were fired into a residence in Hamden, according to police. Officers responded to Bowen Street around 8:50 p.m. on Wednesday for a report of gunfire. When officers arrived, they found the victim suffering from gunshot wounds to his legs. He was transported to Yale New Haven Hospital and is currently in stable condition. Police said that multiple unknown individuals entered a residential driveway and fled after firing several rounds into a residence that was occupied at the time. Detectives are actively investigating this incident. According to police, there is no known ongoing threat to the public. A Winter Storm Watch is in effect for all of Connecticut ahead of a snowstorm that is expected through much of Sunday and Monday. First, temperatures will drop into Saturday morning. Wind chills could be as cold as 20 degrees below zero to begin the weekend. A Cold Weather Advisory is in effect across the state for Saturday. Snow will move into Connecticut from the south starting around midday on Sunday. The highest impacts are likely to be felt on Sunday afternoon and evening, with the heaviest snow expected to fall during that time. Snow showers will linger through much of Monday and are expected to come to an end Monday night. Once all is said and done, over a foot of snow is likely to have fallen over much of the state.
