In reply to Bobby Orehoski. Lol I agree...at least we're not talking about Matt Canada. I just find it interesting most fans scream for an "offensive minded" coach and then pan McCarthy. He far and away has the best offensive resume of any coach available. I just wish he wasn't 62.

You can still hire the old HC and bring in a young OC. Maybe a veteran DC to balance it off. Again, who the head coach can pull to be coordinators is just as important as the HC.

In reply to Nate - RTR. how many of those wins were because they are in the AFC least so they should beat the Jets, Dolphins and Brady-less Pats team (Maye be that changes now if Drake and the team continues to play well, but yeah those last 6 years they have been in one of the worst divisions in the NFL)

Well they've had two 2nd interviews. Maybe McCarthy is the "betting favorite" over Flores, but it's still pretty early in the process. Serious question though... Say the Steelers draft LaNorris Sellers next year. Who would you want developing him? Mike McCarthy who helped turn Rodgers into a 4 time MVP and led Dak to his two best statistical seasons. or Nate Scheelhaase who's never called a play in the NFL.

In reply to Drexyl Spivey. While all of that is true, you're neglecting all of the key players that did carry over, along with the OC and DC. He won with a fair amount of Cowher's team, though he was good enough to get it done. Both things can be true at the same time. What sucks is that he never had as much playoff success later on in his career, after all of Cowher's people were gone. I'd say he was a good coach,…
