Eagles’ Brandon Graham makes franchise history with sack vs. Raiders
As the Philadelphia Eagles attempt to defend their Super Bowl title, Brandon Graham came out of retirement to amplify the pass rush. Now, Graham has made Eagles history. The defensive end has recorded two sacks against the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 15. Graham, at 37 years, 255-days old, became the oldest player in Eagles history to record a sack, via Philadelphia director of football communications John Gonoude. He surpassed Richard Dent, who was 37 years and one-day old when he made a sack against the Atlanta Falcons in 1997. Graham had already made plenty of history with the Eagles before coming out of retirement. He spent 15 years with the franchise, appearing in 206 games. Graham put up 487 tackles, 153 quarterback hits and 76.5 sacks. Furthermore, the defensive end was named to the Pro Bowl in 2020 and won two Super Bowls with the franchise. His 16th season with Philadelphia hadn’t come with much noise leading into Week 15. Graham had recorded just one tackle. However, his first half performance against the Raiders has proven he still has some gas left in the tank. With Graham leading the way defensively, the Eagles have taken a 17-0 lead into halftime. Philadelphia haven’t been necessarily explosive, as they have 165 yards of total offense. However, Las Vegas has been limited to 53 yards, which tells the entire story. If the Eagles hold on for a win, they’ll be 9-5 on the season. They’re in prime playoff positioning as leaders of the NFC East. Graham may not have the same star power he once did. But the Eagles need him to continue wreaking havoc in opposing team’s backfields. The post Eagles’ Brandon Graham makes franchise history with sack vs. Raiders appeared first on ClutchPoints.

Bills lose Jordan Phillips, dignity early vs. Patriots
The Buffalo Bills are playing a pivotal game against the New England Patriots on Sunday. Buffalo needs the win to keep pressure on New England in the AFC East, as the Bills try to win the division once again. Things aren’t starting on the right foot though for Buffalo Sunday. One of the team’s top defensive players is hurt. “Bills (defensive tackle) Jordan Phillips is questionable to return with an ankle injury,” The Athletic’s Joe Buscaglia posted on X, formerly Twitter. Phillips has not put together eye-popping numbers this season, but he helps anchor the team’s defensive line. Buffalo also dug themselves a big hole by falling behind by a 21-0 score early. New England was simply decimating the Bills in the rushing game. The Patriots put up more than 150 yards rushing in the first half alone. Bills are trying to keep up with the Patriots this year New England has been one of the biggest stories in the NFL this season. The Patriots have won 10 games in a row, despite having a first-year head coach in Mike Vrabel. The Pats are 11-2 overall heading into Sunday’s contest. While the Bills are trailing New England in the AFC East, it hasn’t been a bad year for the squad. Buffalo is 9-4 overall and coming off back-to-back victories. Buffalo’s offense was just woeful in the first half against New England Sunday. The Bills had under 100 total yards in the first half. Time will tell if the Bills can make an epic comeback and get the win on Sunday. New England will win the division if they hold on for a victory. He has even reached out and given an invitation to former Louisville coach Rick Pitino, to return and visit the school. Louisville fans seem to be responding to the new coach’s overtures. Cardinals fans packed in the KFC Yum! Center on Saturday, to watch the team crush Memphis. “Crowd was awesome,” Kelsey added. Louisville is now 9-1 on the year, after defeating the Tigers. Texas Tech head coach Grant McCasland wants more of Arkansas after crushing loss
Texas Tech is now 7-3 on the season, but all three losses are against the only three ranked opponents this year. After leading Texas Tech to an Elite Eight run last season, head coach Grant McCasland knows these types of games are important to the development of the team. Regardless of the loss, McCasland wants to see more of this type of game. “I love this opportunity to play in Dallas at American Airlines and to have an opponent like Arkansas. I mean sign me up for this every year,” McCasland said in his postgame comments. It was a competitive game between two teams ranked in the Top-25. Texas Tech had built a ten-point lead with just under six minutes left to go in the first half. They would give up the lead, but still be ahead by six at the halftime break. The Red Raiders continued to lead by five with under ten minutes to play, but Trevon Brazile would take over for Arkansas from there. He scored 14 points in the last ten minutes as Arkansas went on to win 93-86. “I thought Brazile’s really improved in every aspect and I liked our matchup with him in the paint honestly,” said the Tech head coach about the play of the Arkansas star. “ He’s got great length and athleticism, and I thought he played tremendous today.” The late-game collapse from the Red Raiders gave McCasland a lot to work on for his team, as they hope to make a run again in the NCAA Tournament. “I thought they were more competitive than we were late in the game. We missed some opportunities to really be competitive in a way that I think will allow us to be great, but they’re a great team, and I thought they were more connected than we were late,” the head coach lamented. Texas Tech returns home on Tuesday to face Northern Colorado. They get another chance to face a top-level team at a neutral site next Saturday, as they face No. 3 Duke at Madison Square Garden.
